Well, this is one of those "you must be kidding" posts. I remember developers saying previously that DLC's in the first week were not included due to cut off times. Now we all know that's crap but it sounds like a plausible excuse. It looks like the developers are going to need to come up with another as apparently the DLC's were actually included in the main game and just not activated......Over at the Gamefaq forum it looks as if the packages for the upcoming hat content addition DLC were in the main download file. This should be interesting to see how the developers tell everyone how wrong they are.. source: Blues News
Ever wonder what Nitro Games were doing after the release of Pirates of Black Cove? I was too, so I had a bit of a hunt around for something that I may have missed and low and behold there is some recent news of what's going on. Pirates of Black Cove - Sink'em All is a ipad/iphone game which I have no idea when will be released. Going on the dodgy announcement video (below) it looks like a cross between the original Pirates of Black cove and Woody Two Legs, a sort of fast pace arcade game with he POBC theme/setting. I actually think, considering it's a mobile game this could be pretty fun, on the PC I wouldn't have any time for it though. I'll keep an eye on this and let everyone know when something happens with a release.
It's been a while since I posted any updates on Cross of The Dutchman, but I have been keeping an eye on the developments. For those of you not familiar with the upcomming game, I first about it last September. Remco from Triangle Studios has posted on the CoTD blog that they have started a Kickstarter campaign for Cross of the Dutchman. This will help raise some funds to continue development and will also help spread the word about CoTD.
The CoTD Kickstarter project offers several levels of support, starting from as little as $10 all the way up to $5000. Each contribution level comes with a reward, starting with having your name included in the credits of the game, and ranging all the way up to a full blown hand crafted sword designed by the people of Triangle Studios and branded with the mark of Cross of the Dutchman! This is a good way to get in...
Thanks to Asquinol who pointed this out out in the forum. Octane Games have released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming Pirate RPG Ravens Cry. The sad side to this story is that while the developers are talking about realism the gameplay itself screams platformer. You can be your own judge, check it out HERE
