hi guys, somehow i am getting tired of the real time battle, it takes the fight too long to finish and somehow its frustrating.

how can i lose 300 crews in just one boarding fight? O____O and why are the enemies crew are super pirates? i mean they are hard as a rock, my fighters could not stand against them.they die just in seconds,

and realistic cannon damage isnt fun anymore, hahaha i why cant i see any damage to enemy ships even if i have 46+cannons in my MOW >.< so i end up in boarding.

seriously i needed some help now, how can i get the non-realistic fight and much faster gameplay in CoAS?ships in CoAS really moves slowly, i like the game speed in AoS even the sea battle

what files should i tweak to change the realistic system in ships,damage, and maybe gamespeed?


also i have seen this vanilla patch? what really it is about?
 
make sure you have 1 weapon per every crew member (by buying them in bulk in the trade goods menu at the store...same place you buy food for crew) and you will be kicking ass in no time
 
but weapon damage are low and they're already equipped O_O and i already edited my weapon damage and can 1-shot kill a pirate but not on these rock hard guys, ive already inflicted 200+ damage and still alive,

seriously they have the curse of the black pearl and my crew wont stand a chance
 
RTBL?

What version do you have installed?

RTBL was removed in CMV3, if you have RTBL its self installed then i suggest installing CMV 3.1.5.
 
yes i have installed CMV 3.1.5, isn't that RTBL? because ships wont take damage that high
 
No RTBL was removed from the combined mods for CMV3 because i got bored of trying to fix it and waiting for a new alternative which has been found which means RTBL will be reintroduced as a toggle option where you can choose to play with it on or off (requires a new game if settings are changed before the new settings will take effect). This will be for CMV 3.2, but you say 3.1.5 ships are not doing much damage. I can't see why not because the value's was changed to make for higher damage to be inflicted just like the stock game.

Not many questions.
What calibure of guns have you mounted on your ship?
Whats your characters skill?
How well trained are your crew in gunnery?
Have you got a officer with good stats in connon and aiming etc filling the role of cannoner?
And finally, do you have any perks? (AKA points gaioned to spend on perks/traits as your character experience grows)
 
Well i did notice that at the beginning so level 10 or below you have quite a hard time with the smalest of ships.

I have 46 pounders on my swiped pirate ship. A full set of 32 canons and am currently on level 10 with good old cyclops as my gunner ^^

It took me about 15 minutes of constantly blank range broadsiding a level 6 ship with 1/3 of the crew my level 5 has to get them down below half. While they did allmost 0 damage to me it is kinda anoying to have that much trouble to kill off the opponents crew. Oh and my first skills go into crew killing. Since thats the best way to capture ships for sale with minimal damage to them.

If id take a guess id say the damage of the canons is set a tad to low.

That aside i do find it a lot easier to make money in CM3.1.5 than it was in the vanilla game. Im barely level 10 and i already have half a million. Took me atle4ast twice as long in the vanilla game.
 
I guess you sell the cannons off the ships before selling them?

Well to help you out you could install this (shouldn't require a new game but will require you to unmount your guns before using the reinit button to active the changes.

well i got bored too, ive already make changes in the cannon dmg, yeah its called the cannons of death, instant death to those who oppose me. is CMV 3.2 available now?

No its not available yet.

Well its not that i got bored, just a little annoyed. I empty half my arsenal just to bring a sloop to its knees. And im using 46 pounders.
 
Megla, i think you mean 48Ibs cannons. In less you have added your own cannons?

The update i have given you will increase damage from all shot types, depending on skill and ship type you can sink a Sloop with a 2 broadsides with 42Ibs cannons. so using 48Ibs will be even more effective.

In any case i already switched to a class 2 ship with 80 42 pounders XD

But yea i allready installed it :p
 
LOL, i thourght you had implemented your own calibure.

Your new ship will either be the "Seven Provincien" aka "De Zeven Provinciën" or the "Battleship", i this those are the only models with 80 guns mounted, i know the "Intrépide" has 90 guns mounted and is also a clase 2 ship.

Anyway hope the changes are more to your liking. :onya
 
Yea i have the 7 provincien. Its such a nice ship to :p

Though i dont even bother with trying to de-crew the ship now. I simply board. With mostly class 5 ships they surrender almost instantly. XD
 
Well they have 3 options, sail away, attack and be sunk or accept defeat and give up, i know if i was in that position i would try to escape and would not give up. In any game i play online like Rome Total War, Nepoleon Total War, i will never give up till all my forces have died or routes from the battlefield. So i wouldn't start now in COAS. xD:

I don't find myself in that position often, if i do its because i have entered a battle where alied or nutral ships are fighting an enemy of mine which i will help out no matter what ship i'm using. I had one battle where i entered a battle where 9 ships was fighting, i entered in a Sloop and left left the battle with the "Shark). :razz
 
ive got a suggestion, why not make a standard reload time for all cannons? even the ship has 90 cannons, it will be joy :D , oh and yeah how many ships should i have to take down a fort?


its weird ive never encountered an enemy that surrendered?why is that? :shrug
