An ambitious project

I know this topic can be a controversy.
Of course, my idea is not an apologia for slavery. However, as slavery existed in the Caribbean and elsewhere, I do not think we should avoid it.
By the way, in the assassin' storyline, there is a speech of an indian chief explaining to Elting as the white men were killing by different means the Caribbean indians.
My idea is the same, showing in that time the Caribbean was not the wonderful world of Disney.

Indeed, slavery happened in the Caribbean and elsewhere. There was a war fought about that issue in the 1860s.

LOL! I really have no objections to adding a slave market; my comment was meant as a joke. ;)
I know we've had discussions on political correctness and such before and for that reason we did decide not to add slaves as a tradable good.
But as part of a storyline, why not? They're being used in places already. And it is YOUR story, so you decide! :onya

Of course Pieter, I understood it was a joke:razz . However, I prefer to explain what´s my idea to avoid any misunderstanding.

Anyone seen Cartagena in Colombia yet? It isn't used anywhere yet, but it IS there. Here are some pictures:

And in the next release, you'll be able to use the cheatmode to visit there at the beginning of the Bartolomeu storyline.

Pretty cool! Shame it has no specific uses, yet.

I found this fort "lost" in my Desktop hard-drive, it could substitute a POTC town's one.
I just need to convert it in gm (if that's possible, because sometimes the conversion doesn't work:().

Not bad texturing there! I wonder.... could that be added to Curacao or Willemstad? They're town-less and fort-less at the moment.

Another screenshot for you :p. I'll do the conversion, if I succeed, Armada could try to add it to the game.
By the way, about the Morro fort, seeing the model I have is the San Juan one. Why not add the fort in Puerto-Rico? And we also let the fort in the quest location i use for Havana. Because, I wouldn't like to rewrite the last part of the quest moving the story from Havana to San Juan... There are a lot of quests featuring San Juan and this is not the case of Havana....
btw: Curacao or Willemstad could be a good choice:)

All depends on what Armada can be convinced to do; I think he's the only one who knows how to do it.
What file format is it in? If it has to be put to use, it has to imported into Maya; it doesn't need to be a GM file for that.

Unless I am very much mistaken, Maya should be able to import that. So then you don't have to worry about a GM conversion yourself.
Just have to see what Armada says though.
