Guide Treasure Quests

Indeed that is a tuff one to find. It took some work to find it and the answer is on pages 11 and 12 of this very thread.

Hint: Climb to the top of a little hill where there is usually a goody and look for the small bush you see in the screenies at goto 9.

Cheers,

great thanks Hylie. Found it!
I had to dig out some well buried old school gamer skills like map drawing with pen & paper to navigate through that dungeon below ... but found it.

And then ... can't open it, cause I did not have a pickaxe.:rumgone

And even better ... the only merchant on the island doesn't have one, too. :boom:

Arrrrrghhs ... well maybe one of the peasants sell one.

Finally I got it :treasure:

ROFL!! :rofl

The exact same thing happened to me the first time I finally found that cave. I fought my way across the island to the cave, fought my way to the treasure chest, found I had no pickaxe, fought my way back to town, and then found that there were no pickaxes around anywhere at all. :facepalm Then went sailing off on a quest to find a pickaxe! :ship Found one on the other side of the Caribbean and then went back to that miserable island. Fought my way to the chest and found it to be empty! :rumgone

Well, I instead drank down frustration in the tavern and had a nice evening with the whench, and the next morning, that stupid joke of a towns merchant had a pickaxe. Exactly one. But ... thousands of swords and pistols, aye.

Sounds like my fix for Hylie's original issue has had effect then. :wp

Are the guides from the first page still applicable to the latest Build Mod Beta 3.1 - 6 December 2013?
I tried to search Cuba from the first post and there's no treasure in that spot mentioned.

or

must I trigger a quest related to that treasure first? Whom should I talk to to trigger these events?

You need to trigger a Treasure Quest first. You get them by talking to random town folk.
They're all still correct, yes. :yes

I am on barbados. It says the treasure is hidden somewhere in the jungle close to the roadsign and the two roads. I am standing in front of a roadsign that marks bridgetown and speightstown. Can't find the treasure. Oh and i am equiped with a spade

Holy guacamole! I just finished a treasure quest to Cayman Kai. It went normally until we got to the cave where there were.....13 pirates waiting! :8q :duel::duel:This was outside the cave but we made it past them into the cave where there were only 4 pirates. :treasure: This quest has my heart rate up for sure. :bounce

Hi the treasure quest in Turks from White Reefs, can`t be doit now becaused
when you turn left in the track off the beach & keep following the track to the left, now you found a cave were your`s sailor`s can repair the ships, hunting or fishin for ration`s crew
But I dont found the way to the shore whit the broken ship, is a shame because you can`t finish the quest an take other´s.

Eh???? I have done that treasure quest many many times and quite recently too, as in this morning. You landed on the wrong beach mate.

Sure not white Reefs I landed, you have 5 landed in Turks; Grand Turks, Sandy, Turtle, Birds, and White; I landed in the correct place but now you found a cave in the track, no the ships wreck. Thx

ok sorry my eyes are old rolf ; There are many shrubs and trees do not see that there are two roads in the area, and as the 1 you find on the left takes you to the cave, I 've come glued to the rock wall area and found the entrance to the wreck , sorry for the inconvenience and thank you

@Talisman, would you be able to put the information from the posts here on the Wiki instead?
It is probably easier to find them there than here.

Yes - I should be able to do that - not sure about the images but I will give it a try & see what happens :checklist
Brilliant! :cheers

If need be, we can put the images on the FTP so you can link to the from the Wiki.
