ok, I started the free play storyline, and now how do I choose Davy Jones with the Dutch?

Before you start the Free Play storyline, click whatever you want to customize in the Select Storyline interface.

ok but Davy Jones among the characters, can not find it. In that interface point I can find it?
As I said: "click whatever you want to customize in the Select Storyline interface".
You want to customize the character, so click the character portrait.

But there are quests with Davy Jones?
The following side-quests are available for all Free Play characters:
New Horizons Side Quest List | PiratesAhoy!

And here are some details regarding Free Play in general:
New Horizons Free Play | PiratesAhoy!

If you start Free Play as Davy Jones on default settings, you'll get "The Curse of Davy Jones" which means you cannot go ashore as per the PotC movies.
I doubt it'll make for easy playing, but it'll be an interesting challenge to be sure! :cheeky

Ah .. so it means that I can not supply?:shock
You can still board other ships and steal theirs. :cheeky

This curse only applies if you start Free Play as "Cursed" player type with the Flying Dutchman.
If you don't want that challenge, you can change the player type to something else to avoid it.

to ok solved.
But there are quests with Davy Jones?
Yes, this one:
Elizabeth Shaw's Disappearance

You can still board other ships and steal theirs. :cheeky
Note that merchant ships carry little if any rum, and a limited selection of ammo types, typically only cannonballs and maybe chainshot. If you want to steal rum or grapeshot then you'll need to target warships or pirates. And if you can't go ashore then you're never getting bombs.

On that note: in the movies, Davy Jones can go ashore, just not very often. Perhaps you could define a character attribute, initially false, which becomes true the first time you go ashore. If the attribute is true then you can't go ashore. The idea is that you have exactly one chance to go ashore. Maybe have it reset after a countdown timer because Jones can go ashore once every ten years. Some people may keep the game going that long...

You can encounter them in random hulks floating around that you occasionally get during DirectSail updates.

As a part of Planned Feature - Use Generic Captain and Ship Generation Functions | PiratesAhoy!, I would want to modify the way NPC ships are supplied.
At the moment I don't think that works quite as it should. As you noticed, some ships are rather undersupplied.
And for Planned Feature - Include Cannon Weight and Number in Cargo Capacity | PiratesAhoy! we noticed that sometimes NPC ships can be overweight, which also should not happen.

I asked for feedback on the Curse of Davy Jones approximately a million times and nobody ever bothered to mention what they wanted for it.
Therefore the current implementation is extremely simplistic.

My hope is that people will actually give it a try and suggest things that should be changed to make it more playable and fun.
But I won't touch it unless there is some demand for it. No point wasting my time.

ok ok
But there is a way to go underwater TOGETHER to the ship (flying dutchman)? Because as soon as I give the command to do the dive, you only see the ship under water. (See attacked)

The game isn't a submarine simulator, so the whole diving functionality is a bit of a hack.
The engine won't let the exterior camera go underwater.
You can go to 1st person mode on deck, but don't expect to see a nice underwater world.
