Teresa Moreno, partisan leader and Sharpe's associate in the "Hornblower" storyline, is now available as a FreePlay character in her own right:

And here's how she looks in the game:

She's also one of only two "Agent" characters currently available. The other is Milady de Winter.

Technically Teresa Moreno should be Spanish, as she is in the "Sharpe" TV films. But by default Spain is allied to France in the "Napoleonic" period, and Teresa really doesn't want to be allied to the French! "Rebel", Spanish could work, depending on what that does to relations, but she's not really rebelling against Spain, she's trying to free Spain from France. So making her Portuguese for game purposes works better, which is why she's Portuguese in the "Hornblower" storyline. (Where, incidentally, the "Story.c" character definition file has been changed so she uses the new model.)

Depending on the Realism Mode, that either:
- Makes her friendly to everyone, EXCEPT with Spain (Arcade Game Mode)
- Gives her Spanish nation relations, but sets her HOSTILE to Spain (all other realism modes)

I was indeed hoping you'd do that as well! Should've known that you would. ;)

So either way, she ends up hostile to her homeland and friendly to France, exactly the opposite of what she should be. Making her Portuguese just works so much better. The entire "Hornblower" storyline is a major exercise of artistic licence anyway, with plots and characters being transferred to the Caribbean, so this is just another extension of the licence. xD (Maybe she's working for Portugal as part of her campaign on behalf of Spain.)

Yup. :rofl

What you could potentially do is to start her as PERSONAL_NATION and/or define some custom starting relations for her in the Free Play StartStoryline.c file.

But as you say, Portuguese Agent already works fine. :onya
