I want the maximum match) The spider has wonderful textures) but it has a little blundered with the color) I corrected)
no more no less)

So your beef was with the sails? I used actual photos of the ship used in film for my textures. So I did my best. :razz

I'm welcome to any corrections as long as they strive towards film accuracy.

http://piratesahoy.bowengames.com/potc/Grey Roger/Queen_Annes_Revenge.zip ;)

It's not quite up to date - it doesn't have the rope I added from the mizzen spar to the hull. But I'll soon be uploading a new version of the update archive including the final version of Queen Anne's Revenge plus a couple of other, smaller ships which I imported from GoF.

Which means I'll need some agreement between @Layder, @Legendary_Spider and @Pieter Boelen about which textures to include. At the moment, as per @Pieter Boelen's previous request, it uses @Legendary_Spider's original texture.

As far as I'm concerned, if @Layder and @Legendary_Spider together decide the textures should be replaced, then go with whatever they say.
If that doesn't happen, keep things as-is.

My personal preference is to keep the old, brighter textures anyway. This is because I cannot stand the needlessly dark colour scheme of the PotC films.
This is done in many, many films these past few years because "dark and gritty = good and realistic", which I most strongly disagree with.
I've been to the Caribbean myself; I know what it looks like there. The colours in the PotC films look totally fake and wrong.
Seriously, they film in the Caribbean and they manage to make it look like the North Sea!

Perhaps you are right Peter) but again) we are focusing on the film), the dark tones give a dreadfulness) all as it should be) I did my job here) because roger does not plan to transfer the Dutchman and the pearl, then I leave you on this note) then decide how you will use the resource provided by me) even though new masts do) even in blue color repaint) But my opinion is the same) this ship should be dark) even if you will make a version of Barbossa from the fifth film) they will not even differ almost) both will be bright red)

Something which was mentioned in another thread about ships being ported is that on some ships, the lateen spar does not move correctly in relation to the wind. I'm not sure how it's supposed to move, but I do know that it's wrong if it doesn't move at all, which is what the lateen spar on the Queen Anne's Revenge does - both the original and new models. Anyone want to fix that? Or can anyone tell me how to fix it?

How are the GM files configured?
Is the lateen spar part of the mast model or is it separate like normal?

It's part of the mast model "QueenAnnesRevenge_mast4.gm". A rope which goes from the mast top, via a triangle of pulleys, to the tip of the lateen spar, is also part of this model.

If it is part of the mast, it is never going to move. Unless a proper modeler splits it off and makes it its own GM.

"BlackPearl_mast4_new.gm" only has the geometry locator for "rey_c4", and "BlackPearl_rey_c4_new.gm" has no locators at all!

All "fal" locators need to be changed to "rope" and renumbered so they don't conflict with existing "rope" locators.

All "flag" locators must be matched by "penn" locators. In "BlackPearl_mast3.gm", there are "flag:f1", "flag:f2", "flag:f3" and "flag:f4". So, "penn:f1", "penn:f2", "penn:f3" and "penn:f4" need to be added. The co-ordinates can be the same as the "flag" locators since we probably won't actually be using a pennant, but the "penn" locators need to be there anyway.

I did not understand anything) why do you need a flag on the fourth mast?) And what does the third mast have to do with it?) We sort of decided everything with her)

We don't need a flag on mast 4. The flag on "BlackPearl_mast3.gm" (which is the mainmast) is defined by locators "f1", "f2", "f3" and "f4", probably all in group "flag", though I can't check that because GM Viewer doesn't show group locator names and I can't read "mast3" with TOOL. Anyway, what is needed is a duplicate set of locators on mast 3, also called "f1", f2", "f3" and "f4", but in group "penn". (You already did this for Queen Anne's Revenge.)
