well, i wonder what the monk can do on your ship?? did he make our ship invicible? :rofl
or make the morale of Crew always high??:unsure:unsure..
but i dont see it because my crew morale always Heroic..:bonaparte:bonaparte
so someone gimme answer please xDxD:wp:wp

Personally i don´t see any effort by using monks because they are expensive and will leave you as soon as you hoist the Pirate flag. Better to use rum to increase the moral of the crew. :drunk

Monks can also reduce mutiny but if you always pay your crew when asked for, you also won´t have problems with that.

Anyway, i never needed them for anything.

I haven't researched it in code, but I think having the monk on board gives you a permanent blessing. When a monk blesses your ship, it makes more crew available for hire at the next port and maybe for a while after.

yea i think i got permanent blessing, i can recruit 50-90 crew for each tavern and more cheap i guess, i just recruited over 90 crew with only 5k peso..
I dunt know if its more cheap than recruiting wthout monk

Dunno about cost of hiring. Crew is cheap anyway.

Someone on Steam mentioned that a blessing lasts 30 days. This seems about right.

It can cost 10k or more to get your ship blessed. The price goes up depending on the number and class of the ships in your squadron. A single lugger is around 5k.

It appears that having a monk on board also makes more sailors available for hire off the street, possibly the same for a blessing. These guys always have good skill in one area, don't bring down the average of your other crew skills and don't bring down morale. They are more expensive to hire than in the tavern though. Hiring sailors off the street is one of the fastest ways of increasing crew skills without lots of combat.
