Pirates and Buccaneer lairs

Sometimes the owner of a shop tell me to carry merchandieses to Pirate/Buccaneers Fort, Settlement, but the game not show me these places, nor the map.

How I do for find these places and not ruin my deals?

Those places will not show up on the map until you find them.

But! In the menu click on "colonies". Then scroll through the islands and there you will find what island they are on. Buccaneers Camp is on Hispaniola, Pirate Settlement is on Nevis, Pirate Fort is on Bonaire, and Smugglers Lair is on Grenada.

Do the markings for those places not show on the map during missions?
I thought they did....

Of course it would be the beach that is shown, not the actual town.

The beach shows the palm tree icon after you have been there. I've played for too many years and know where they are so do not look at the map but just spend real time hours fighting the winds to get there the first time. After that I "sail to" when the winds go bad.

I meant the F2>Inventory>Maps>Archipelago Map interface.

No, that map does not show any detail. I just had to buy a Eleuthera map so I could find out where to haul my cargo.

No detail, no. But it should show the shore where you have to go for any cargo delivery quests.

I play the Open Sea mod and that cargo box is usually sitting in the middle of the ocean so is useless to me. It might be ok for others.

Oh, I never realised the changed scale of the Open Sea Mod would mess that up. :facepalm
