Awaiting Info Crew 'escorting' me on land don't have weapons

Nb7

Sailor Apprentice
Great mod thank you!
I have this problem that i choose 3 men in the ship to follow me around, but almost always 2 of them have no weapons, the weapon locker is full with weapons, and when i talk to them 'i've got weapons for you' they say already have weapons. They don't fight just stand there when a fight happens.

edit: Yesterday i played the quest to kill the animists and the leader didn't have weapons i think because he didn't attacked me i killed him but i lost reputation to 'undraw blade' maybe my save is corrupt or something?

I don't expect to get any repons here but hey let's try.
Could you specify which version you are using?
Or could someone else confirm this to be a bug (or not)?

The animist leader certainly should have a weapon. But he won't have it if you're using an up to date version of "PROGRAM\Characters\init\SideQuest.c" and an obsolete version of "initItems.c" because the leader, alias "Dark Teacher", uses the katana which was originally developed by @Jack Rackham for someone else. If it's not in "initItems.c" then "Dark Teacher" can't have it. But it should be in any reasonably up to date version of "initItems.c", and certainly I've played the sidequest, killed "Dark Teacher", and got the katana.

No confirmation about what happens to crew whom you've asked to follow you because I never do that.

Last time I checked they did have weapons, although the weapons seem to be generated according to the character level or something rather than using the weapons stored in the weaponslocker like they do in boardings, but I suppose that's intended.

Don't know how that would be possible. initItems.c can be reinitialized in a savegame, but the character init files aren't.

Correct; that was @Jack Rackham's work.
