:ahoy Mateys!

Does anybody know other games like our PotC game but this time it focuses on Knights and Barbarians and Kings? But the system is pretty much the same like you can earn gold and buy new and or better stuffs like swords, armors, food, etc. And also in 3rd person view or 1st person but 3rd person view is better. Heheh.

For some reasons, I wanted to play as a Knight this time or better yet, a Knights Templar! :duel::onya

Much appreciated for any suggestions. :bow :flower

I have always loved Mount and Blade: Warband. There are a lot of great mods out there to make it into almost any era or fantasy world you want.

Sounds like Kingdom Come: Deliverance to me. It's not released yet but damn it does look fine.

Here's the official website: http://kingdomcomerpg.com/

Besides I suggest also Mount & Blade franchise, The Witcher 2, Dragon Age: Origins, Gothic franchise, Risen 1.

:ahoyMount and blade series is great.

Though Mount and Blade warband (basically an upgraded version of the original) is the best and still has an active multiplier community if you want that as something else you can do, also has quite a cool official Napoleonic expansion. Most people would suggest give fire and sword a miss, so would I for that matter, only bother with it if you find the era interesting. Mods for the game is great for multiplayer, but this game is great at singleplayer, though it explains itself even less than POTC build mod :wp

It is possibly the closest your going to get seeing it has all the features your stated and you can eve hire troops to follow you.

I have to admit mount and blade 2 bannerlord looks like it's going to amazing! :monkeydance

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is 'okay' just it's multiplayer only and the combat does not seems as intuitive or as realistic as M&B.
Give it a go if you have cash to splash... but it has no singleplayer.

As someone said, kingdom come....

Skyrim actually if you don't mind fantasy, I do remember a historical mod some time ago but unsure if it ever got finished. :whipa

There's not actually many medieval games of the kind of style your looking for, most are fantasy. While M&B is technically fantasy (apart from fire and sword) it's just a made up continent with factions closely based on real life equivalents (aka norse, english, french, italian, slavs, arabs & mongolians) and does not use magic etc. :doff

However if you like intrigue Game of thrones style look up crusader kings 2. Or Medieval 2:total war, if you want it on a much lesser scale but with realistic battles with thousands of people.... both games are great to role play being the faction leader... in fact Crusader kings 2 actually requires you to have a Role Playing mindset. However both are strategy games :shrug

The total war series is kinda my specialty though :wp hell Empire & Napoleon Total war even have gunpowder era naval combat :ship

Actually thinking about it shogun 2 has an standalone expansion that has 1860 naval combat with american and European Ironclads.... but i digress :cheers

I would say mount and blade: warband. It has tons of mods, from the old greeks to lord of the rings. For single-player I would recommend the Floris mod. (its multiple mods combined). As for multi-player I recommend: Persistent world (I recommend to try and find a group to play with, It makes it a lot more fun to play). The amount of mods that are made for the game keeps it going.

This Kingdom Come: Deliverance looks really interesting. I pledge!

I have to admit, I got a little caught up with Mount & Blade: Warband. Its a really, really nice game. Very addicting like the PotC and very the same like once you start tweaking, you'll never stop finding what else to tweak in the game or finding that specific thing to tweak. :D But, still, I'm more caught up with the sea. Arrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

Pirates of the Caribbean for LIFE! Hehehe! :aar:pflag:guns::duel::treasure::pirate41::boom::pirateraft:rumgone:thumbs1:onya:type1

I thought that was the dev team that wrote M&B? Regardless, they are really involved in another game right now and have pretty much stopped development for the time being.

MB is a pretty old engine game. I would be surprised if they could really introduce sucha thing in it.

BTW the russians advancing to a new pirate game is good news. Allthough I would prefer in game characters that would look english or french, not a "devochka" or som eone portrayed from a current time russian pub.

You DON'T want to know. I will tell you that it had something to do with extremist sexist views... He had it coming.

I'll second Kingdom Come: Deliverance. I've been following it, and it looks far more impressive than any RPG I've seen out there before.
