Released USS Constitution upgrade

I think the one with you at the wheel would make a good avatar pic. I like the goatee, btw!

So which one is the latest? That one which is in GOF 2.0 or other one?
 
The GOF2 version is an earlier unfinished one. The version in POTC and the GOF2.5 supermod are the best one, and it is probably the finest ship ever produced by the POTC mod team.
 
Any chance to upload the latest Constitution to GOF2 beta 2.0.4 V1 DEF?
 
Uh ohhh. The link in the first post gives me a blank page. I can pull it out of the supermod and zip it up. It will be a straight drop in replacement in GOF2.
 
Ah, sorry, I cleared out my PotC OneDrive folder a while ago to remove all content that has now been included in the Build Mod.
I'll remove the link in the first post.
 
Wait. I just compared the GMs in the two games and they are identical.

But I remember seeing the Connie in both games and the one in GOF2 had ropes missing on the bowsprit and the one in the supermod had all ropes in place. o_O
 
The bowsprit ropes are a separate model, aren't they? Perhaps they weren't imported to GOF 2, or the 'geometry' locator was missing.
 
No they are not a separate model and I compared the GMs side by side in TOOL. They are the same.

I can't explain this. The black Pearl has one missing rope too. It is there in the GM and looks like it should work but does not.

I still wonder if there're any differences between these two ships. Once I watched the video which was from PoTC. There's USS Constitution with walking crew on it but I didn't notice any differences aside from it.

In the older GOF there was different Connie, which had low visibility on board so it was difficult to hit the ship really often.
 
No there is no difference between the POTC and GOF2 Constitution. I compared them point by point.
 
I finally acquired the real USS Constitution in GOF2 and discovered a big mistake. Somehow someway the COAS sailorpoints never made it so the ship has no crew. I checked both GOF2 and GOF 2.5 and neither game has the sailorpoints.

So, are the original files still stored somewhere?
 
Probably not; the old FTP died a long time ago.
Not sure if there ever was such a file anyway; I think she may originally have been added to PotC first.
The walk files converter can convert from PotC to CoAS though, but if I recall that functionality doesn't always work right.
You can still try though.
 
At the time, I had to use the Sailor Tool to modify the walk file... so that means I still have the CoAS sailorspoints file!

It's amazing how things balloon out of control. :bird:

Now that the Connie has a crew I sailed away.......and immediately noticed one badly placed locator. :facepalm Why did I not notice it before?? So it got repaired. :type1

Then those spritsails or whatever they are called with their huge arcs in them bugged me, so I repaired those too using Armada's trick. :drunk

How does she look now? All fixes are plainly visible.
