Solved Changing default key binds by modifying program files.

Hello all, I need help understanding which lines I should edit in the init_pc.c files under program/controls. I intend to change any controls with the default key being the arrow keys to something else not in use. The reason is that my right and down arrow keys no longer function (I have no idea why, its been that way for years). Whenever I press the return button for the command menu I can't change which icon to select as I cannot move the selector over; I can only select the first option, which, as you know, is not ideal.

Any help is appreciated. Also, is it the init_pc.c files I should be altering or is it controls.c? I have no idea. Thanks.

You must change the "option" file located into the main game directory. It may be necessary to modify the "option" file located into your save game directory.

I didn't know there was a second file that could be changed. I ended up using trial-and-error to change some of the keys in the original file. It seems to work fine, although a couple keys do seem to do two things at once now. Oh well.

Thank you for this information! I have been looking for a way to make POTC and COAS controls the same. That stuff sure is packed in tight.
