Dutch Governor-General Missions

Well, I've done a few so far. Now I've more or less finished the one where you must escort the three fleuts and trade their cargo for 7000 weights of food. So, I've loaded up all of the fleuts fully with food, holding more than 7000 weights of food, but when I go to the G-G, I say I was only able to bring 2340 weights of food. I did capture the Spanish Heavy Lineship that attacked me and loaded it up with food, so maybe this has thrown it off, but it seems to me this is a bug. Is anyone else getting this problem?

Crew consumption and rats will dwindle that food supply during transit.

He's playing CMV3.2 OP and I know we got rid of the rats. Wasn't that your work OP? I have run into this bug as well even in vanilla. It seems like they want more food than your ship(s) can even hold.

It seems like I quickly bought tons more food at the colonies close by out of pocket to finish this leg of the Dutch governors quest.

Rats will always eat food. What was fixed was that they also ate things like timber or other inedible materials. Although if it is a bug, sounds like something in the code.

Also cannonballs where you can see rolling rats in your cargo...

beware do not kick them...
Who knows...
They might even eat those explosive ones...

Im also stuck at this now.. unfortunately the stupid bug still exists and since 2011 no one bothered to fix it... I have 85,000 food on me and the governor claims it is 6,300.

Not to mention they give you dumb flutes with 2,200 cargo limit each

I can only speak for the vanilla version and that one hasn´t a bug.
I´m acting like this:
After i receive the 3 Fleuts i fire their crews and sell all their goods before i escort them to La Vega with my Man `O´ War, so that i have empty ships and peace of mind to get there.
In La Vega i fill each of the Fleuts with 23.340 units of food because multiplicated with 3 it is exactly 7000 centner.
The 4 spanish ships that are waiting for me when i leave, i quickly sink alone with my Man `O´ War before the Fleuts get seriously damaged.
On my way back to Willemstad i save my game as often as necessary to avoid rat messages and reload the last save if the rats were attacking the food. This way i arrive with all the goods and Stuyvesant is paying me 60.000 Piaster.

How relationships between Holland and other countries look like after finishing whole questline?

I'm working for England and I have just 2 missions to do ( defend Jamaica and attack 2 spanish colonies ) + 1 mission ( Modyford is arrested, etc. ) and I heard after finishing English questline, there's no more war with Spain.

Still don't know how Holland relations look like after finishing whole missions but I did English Quest and after missions, Modyford is in prison, there's no war between England and Spain, so England has war only with Holland. What's more, Cumana and Caracas are English colonies.

I did English nation quests.

England attacks Santiago, after that Spain attacks Jamaica with 7 warships so it's needed to defend the city.
After that, England attacks Caracass and Cumana. These colonies belong to England.
Modyford sends to Antigua, in Antigua we meet former governor who says that English government doesn't tolerate Modyford anymore because he took whole money.
We have to come back to Modyford and set him in prison. After that former governor replaces Modyford. War between England and Spain is finished ( so there's only war against Holland ). The war finished earlier in Europe but Modyford didn't want to follow that. The war was finished because France is stronger and stronger, that's why Spain is still under attack and can't win. Everybody know that England doesn't want to make France stronger.
We also receive 'Sir' title and Commodore.




I don't know how other quest lines look like.

- In France, there's probably the end of war of devolution which was against Spain, so I suspect there's no war against this countries anymore. So it finishes similar to English missions ( the country you work for has no war with Spain ). What's more there's possibility to gain Soley Royal but it takes title of Baron, etc.
- I'm not sure but working for Holland makes that there's also war with Spain and England.
