Solved Problem selecting savegames

JuarezCause

Landlubber
So I reached the max saved games that I can in the game, and as usual I went to the load menu so I could delete the older save games, the problem was the slider that changes from one save to the other was super slow, normally it takes less then a second to slide to the next save game now it takes 10 secs or more.
It's as if the slider's rusty or something, anyway I tried finding the savegame location the folder SAVE on the game's main folder is empty, looked on the documents folder and appData nothing... Havent tried creating a new profile, last time I reached max saves this did not occur and it was on this same profile.

Furthermore my logging has been on, but I have no logs, probably because it doesn't crash the game it just needs some oil or something.

I'm playing Build 14 Beta 4.0 Public Release (2 April 2016)

my specs
OS: Windows 10 64-Bit
GPU: GTX 660 Ti
CPU: AMD FX-6300
RAM: 8 GB
HDD: 1 TB (current 100 GB)

Any help would be appreciated, thx!!

Saves are in the subfolders in the game's SAVE directory.

If you have no saves or log files, either you are affected by Windows Security Stupidity (WSS) or you have two copies of the game installed and are looking at the wrong one.
You won't be the first person to do that...

Saves are in the subfolders in the game's SAVE directory.
Specifically, you should see folders with the names of storylines. For example, if you've been playing "Tales of a Sea Hawk", which to programmers is known as "standard", you'll find your savegames in "SAVE\standard".

I've indeed installed the game to Program Files (I should know better has it's not the first time I install the game and mod) but since it was working fine I didn't bother changing it.

I'm 100% sure I only have 1 copy of the game and still no subfolders nor files inside the SAVE folder, which seems weirds seeing as I do have savegames and I can load them.

Definitely get the game folder OUT OF Program Files as soon as possible.
The amount of insanity related to WSS there is quite ludicrous.

If I recall, someone tried to mod their game files in that folder, but the changes didn't take effect.
Turned out to be because Windows kept a secret invisible second set of files to actually run the game with.
How crazy is that!?! o_O

I just got into the game and it would seem that the problem I was having is gone (still no saves in the SAVE folder) guess my computer was needing some rest xD.
There is a difference from yesterday though, when selecting a button there's an highlight around the button and that highlight was flashing/blinking, like it being turned on and off without stop and now it's normal just either on, when it's selected or off when out of focus.

I've seen my good share of bugs related to Windows, I just shrug my shoulders shake my head and sigh: "Windows :modding"
Only reason I haven't changed my OS to Linux is because I'm used to Windows and games don't usually work that well in Linux :p

We just summarized it with: Don't use Program Files.
There is basically no point trying to support people who do have the game in Program Files,
because there is no telling what weirdness will happen because of that next. :facepalm

Yes I know, my bad for installing it in Program Files, I just like to at least try to explain whatever my problem was the best I can so other people who share a similar problem can find a solution or at least some peace of mind knowing they weren't the only ones with such a p.i.t.a.
So DO NOT INSTALL THE GAME IN PROGRAM FILES. :doff also restarting your computer might solve your problem xD !!
