Engine stopped working

I re-discovered my old CDs, and decided to instal Pirates of the Caribbean once again.
Installed.
Restarted the computer.
Play. When i clicked "new game", i go to the loading screen and then boom. "Engine stopped working".

Tried everything again, same problem.
How do i fix this?




*My specs if useful
6GB RAM
Nvidia 930M 2GB GPU
Intel core i5

I didn't download the DirectX 9 nor the Media Player 9 at the end of the instalation. Could this be the problem?

It worked, but... damn that looks awful! Why??

Because apparently for some strange reason the game is running from your Intel on board graphics card.
Without this fix, the game wouldn't run at all, so that is a notable improvement.
Still less than ideal though.
