Cannot Confirm Game Freezing When Opening Chest

You wanted to know any bugs, this one has happened a few times and corrupted a save file :'(

The story is Free Play Jean Lafitte (if relevant), the game freezes especially when opening a chest.

Is this resolved in the next update perchance?

@MD K47: Do you have a savegame that is affected by this issue?

You can certainly try the Beta 4.1 WIP from the link in my signature. Won't hurt, at least.

Does the game become fully unresponsive or is it more like "lagging"?

So this point from the FAQ may help you:

8. I sometimes get a "using gold" message when opening chests, and I can't open treasure chests; what do I do?(top)
For some reason, this seems to happen when you have the Ammo Mod disabled in Advanced Options. As a temporary fix, you need to enable the Ammo Mod and start a new game.
 
Without further details, this is being archived as "Cannot Confirm".
 
Btw i found the problem - antivirus was using all the disk causing the game to freeze, this would resolve it's self if i was more pactience.
Also thanks for the suggestion about the gold bug
