Every of us have a nation that prefer more than others.

What is your choice?

Because I try to be just, I have given 1 chance, but you can correct your choice if you have made a mistake.
If you want write something, I'm interested also to know the 2nd in line of your choosen nations.

About me, my favored nation is France, and the second in line Holland

I like them all; simple as that!

Though I'm from Holland, so out of pure unfair and nonsensical bias, I'll vote for that. ;)

@Pieter Boelen: yes, Holland is my second choice from favoured nations. At these times is protestant (usually a bad choice for a catholic) but has a thing that I admire a lot: freedom. United Provinces of Nederland are one of the most free and really democratic places that I know, then is 2nd in line.

For me was also 1st, but my real ancients was Anjou partisans in the Anjou-Aragon war, (yes, I come more or less from a noble stock) then I consider this old alliance, and make France at first place.

As a honorable man that I am, I value an alliance unbroken until a clear betrayal act. I never betrayed, them also, then the alliance is again in charge.

Same here, except I'm from Britain. :napoleon

But my preferred playstyle is storylines, so I play whichever nation applies to the main character of whichever storyline I'm playing. If I do pick FreePlay, most of the time it's to test out a ship, so I pick a nation suitable for the ship.

One advantage of playing as British or Dutch is that you start in Speightstown or Kralendijk respectively, and both of them have dungeons which you can raid to get some fencing XP and a nice sword. On the other hand, playing as French starts you in St. Pierre, where there are a whole load of short sidequests and a couple of longer ones to start right away. (Get the best of both. Play British, loot the dungeon, then sail to St. Pierre which is practically next door and do all the sidequests. Or play French and do exactly the same but in reverse order.)
