Some ideas I've been toying around with

It's not a perfect solution, but you can always just tap F6 to autosave wherever you're able to save the game normally. I'm sure there's some game mechanic tied to boarding battles that can also be tied to mooring your ship in port, but it might take some time to find and implement it, and it...

    Ship Customization

I'm pretty sure I've read something close to this somewhere before, but I figured I'd bring up the topic again for future mods. Hopefully the idea isn't too complicated or difficult to implement. The idea would be to add a feature to the shipyards that would allow players to choose one of the...

Mod Release Combined Mod v3.2 (No longer being worked on)

The new mod is very well done and it does a great job getting rid of a lot of annoying bugs. Keep up the great work.

I need some help on a quest fellas

An easier method (assuming you've got some spare change) is to just buy a trade license for England or whatever nation you need to sneak into and then change the flag on your ship. You can just walk right through the front door.

    Can mushket be turn on

I created a musket that can be used by anyone (including officers) without any mods, just add this one to the game. Since I used the double-barreled musket for this, I changed the name so it wouldn't be confused with the quest musket. It fires like pistol and it's a bit overpowered, but a...

    Solved Noobish Questions

The whole problem is caused by having a conflict between the number of cannons in the ship's file and the actual number of painted cannons on the ship, so it shouldn't be too hard to match up those two values. I've already fixed a few of these in my game... it's not difficult, it's just tedious.

    Dutch mission 3

Here's a rundown of the third mission for you courtesy of skodarap. Peter Stuyvesant wants you to speak with Edward Mansfield, a Dutch pirate, about the English trade war and British measures against Holland. Go to La Vega and visit the residence. Mansfield knows nothing, but maybe Morgan does...

    Help a noob:)

I think the potion shortcut consumes a potion based on the situation, but it still needs to be tested and confirmed. The reason I say it's based on the situation is because one time when I was actually paying attention to what potions are used when, i had some rum, mixtures, and antidotes on...

    Help a noob:)

That one's always a pain early in the game, but once you figure out how to beat him, it gets a lot easier.

    Help a noob:)

I've noticed that most of the time, they'll only shoot at you right in the beginning of the fight or if you try to run away. If you put too much distance between yourself and your enemy, they'll try taking a shot at you. If you're looking for a quick way to heal up (assuming you have a healing...

    [HELP] French Governer-General mission 3 (i think)

Yeah, finding all these really is a pain. Thanks for putting em all in the same place, it's a huge help.

    Pearl diver place

Maybe you need to try flying the Spanish flag. I know that you can't get into the pearl diver settlements unless you fly the Spanish flag when you moor your ship off shore, so this might be the same concept. It's been a while since I did this one, but I never had that problem when I tried.

    I lost a mast. Help

I had a similar problem in AoP: CT with my squadron of 5 MoWs. I would repair all ships to full hull and sails and as soon as I stepped out into the port, I could hear and actually see some of the overlapping masts falling into the water. this would happen with at least 3 or 4 ships depending on...

    [HELP] French Governer-General mission 3 (i think)

Is there a detailed walkthrough like this one for the other nations or just the French quest line? I've been trying to find full walkthroughs for the other nations but the best I can find is individual quests, never the entire thing.

is there a way to change the stats of a weapon?

Another easy way to determine which weapon is which, take note of if it's light, medium, or heavy, the min/max damage, and the weight since those are all different for each weapon. You can also create custom weapons if you like. For example, here's one I made using the existing guns to create a...

I think I have a problem sinking ships

I've run into this problem a few times too. It usually occurs when there's a lot of lag from having too many ships in my area while fighting. Even though the cannon balls appear to go through the ships, they do actually hit, but because of the lag, it doesn't look like they do. You can still see...

    Solved Noobish Questions

Some of the ships added with the mod have the cannon glitch. In my experience, this is usually caused by the number of cannons in the ship's file (Ships_init) not matching up with the actual number of cannons on the ship in game. For example, the new version of the Flying Dutchman taken from...

captive groom of San Juan quest

With these quests it's best to ignore them until you run across the ship you need on the open sea... if you actually try looking for the ship, you'll end up driving yourself crazy.

    Forts and firing

I'm all for realism and I understand the reason for reducing the damage of all ammunition types across the board, but making bombs so much weaker than the round shot is pretty unrealistic as the bombs are explosive round shot. They have the same initial impact of the round shot plus the added...

    Forts and firing

Since gunpowder and bombs were around so many centuries before the 17th and 18th centuries when the game takes place, it makes sense to have bombs as usable ammunition in game. Just because they weren't readily used doesn't mean they didn't exist. The whole trade-off with bombs in game was that...
