    @Armada, Models were built with SketchUp, I can export them to .mb if a student license is okay (if not something can probably be worked out ;)), or fbx etc @Martes, That would be amazing, put a lot of work into these models over the years so to finally see them take to the (virtual) oceans...

    Hi Pieter, yeah it's been too long :) If anyone else can make use of the Shannon or other models I've made would be more than happy to put them up for adoption. I've gone a few other frigates slightly less complete but build to a similar level of quality, will have to look at bundling them up...

    Wow, it's been a long time :) The model still exists, indeed I started over from scratch and rebuilt the Shannon more faithfully to the original, but I don't have a lot of time to work on these projects anymore or a clear path to getting the model ingame so it's future is uncertain.

    I remember that mod working without problems (been a while since I played the game though ;)). It is for Gentlemen of Fortune 1.2 only, probably will not work with other versions of GoF or in other AoP games...

    Yes, that is all SketchUp :) Except the cannon, Captain Armstrong gave them to me, think they were built in gmax or blender? SketchUp is really very good for modelling non-organic objects, just that to work with it you will be using very different techniques compared to other 3D programs ...

    Hull shape is tricky... I've been using Sketch Up too, built some models like this one. If you like I could put together a little guide on building the hull shape in Sketch Up? :)

    Hadn't noticed Trincomalee having a flying jibboom because its positioned offset from the jibboom itself. All that's left now is weather deck details and some textures, plus I want to add a little more rigging detail. External hull is complete and I've decided to leave the captains cabin...

    Lengthened topgallant masts, repositioned spars, stays are mostly from the last picture Captain Armstrong posted but using your picture for the stays between main and mizzen masts. Still needs the extra back stays.

    Cannon are in, although the texture for the blocks and ropes went walkabout somewhere between Maya and SketchUp. Texture was in Maya, so I'll figure it out eventually :D Think I need to scale the 9lbers up a little too...
