To win the daughter (or niece) of a governor, you need to first get a letter of marque from that governor, which will, in time, bring you rank and promotions based upon all the tasks (read: "Pirate Hunting" missions) you complete for the governor. Once you attain a respectable rank, you will be introduced to his nieces - you can chat them up, but if you want the daughter, wait for a bit, she will show up eventually. You'll have to visit the governor through a bevvy of female admirers, just do it - keep getting missions and promotions (and more land), until eventually you will be introduced to the daughter...

Chat her up, and pop the question. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

Once you marry her, you will get reputation boosts if you visit her. If you've taken on one (or all) of the nieces as mistresses (this can happen), once you marry if you visit them you will get a reputation HIT... Visit the wife, not your mistresses, unless you don't mind the rep hit. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

Nothing much else happens - I think this mod was meant to be expanded upon by someone ambitious enough to do it... Your wife could, for example, send you on a quest or some other mission (find me a special jewel, bring this letter to so-and-so on another island, &tc.)...
