True, wolfwood, but you can only get a feel for the sailing life if your actually doing the sailing! You cant really enjoy the sailing life simply by watching a boat moving through the ocean at 6 knots.
I looking forward to this new game, it seems to have all the things Sea Dogs had which POTC left out. There was only one (main) quest in POTC (which is fine for a brit like me, but if i was French i wouldnt have liked to be fighting for the White Ensign!) whereas Sea Dogs had 4, one for each nation. Looks like AOP is gonna do the same, which is smashing.
What i dont want is for AOP to leave out things from POTC, like the boarding parties and `on-shore` interface. I enjoyed being able to explore the ENTIRE islands in POTC unlike in Sea Dogs where you only had the town and the limited buildings (those which were unlocked).
Does anyone have a release date for the english version of AOP? I know its early days yet but i was hoping to have something to look forward to before my POTC CD catches fire from overuse!
