Need Help AI Boarding Bug

I've been playing the game for a while (around 70 hours or so), but i just noticed this now, and I wanted to know if this happens to anyone else or just to me:

Everytime an AI ship boards another AI ship, both of them sink. Always. It doesn't matter if it's a frigate vs a frigate or a lugger vs a galleon, everytime an AI boards another both of them sink! I've witnessed this on multiple encounters and it seems to happen every single time.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is this a known bug (I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere)? Does anyone have any idea on a possible solution?

It also happens with me, I have found no way to fix it either. It is especially annoying when looking to board a specific ship, you find one in a fleet where two nations are fighting and the AI boards it only to have two ships sink.
