The console used to work, but badly. I used it to make the shipyard pics in 2011. Killed 2 POTC installs doing it too. Since then it would work one time and never again, so I just quit as it does tend to kill the game.

The switch is set to (0). I have not touched it as I do not use it.

How does it kill the game?

Did you play through the Assassin/Bartolomeu/Jack Sparrow storylines recently?
Those lines are used there as well quite commonly.

How does it kill the game? POTC will no longer start. Old game, new game, nothing. Dump it and reinstall.

I haven't played the Assassin or Jack Sparrow storylines in years, and could hardly start the Bartolomeu storyline before running into terminal problems, but that was years ago too.

That's just bizarre. I've had absolutely zero problems with the console. Ever.
