Bug Arrive at Port Royale

Yesterday looked through the storyline for the first time - did it through the jump function in the tavern by random drunk. Upon arriving at Port Royale, after the cinematics, the game immediately crashes. I dunno if that has anything to do with the jump function, but after looking through .log files I though smth else is possibly at hand.

I hear this bug being reported once in a while.
But then when I ask for confirmation, supposedly it all works properly again.
Most bizarre.
