    Ahoy me mates
i was playing POTC NH in iron man mod of course while playing as captain Alexander Putin(i was gonna name him Obama Putin just for fun lol)and i saw a chinese sailor in one of my boarding battles so i was thinking i wanted to make my own story as a samurai who came from the land of the rising sun in the free play only story (maybe if i can create a whole new story)so i was wondering if some one can guide me on how to add new items i already have a ton of japanese weapons and armors from katana to yumi from my mod for mount and blade warband game and yes if anyone can guide me on how to add scenes props to a town (i want to take turk its my fav i don't know why) so that i might change the look of it to sweet my samurai test i already have everything from scenes props buildings weapons items everything i just need tutorials on how i can add them to the game
thanks in advance for the help

The main tutorials we've got are here:
    Tutorials | PiratesAhoy!

If you're willing to do most of the work yourself, there are always people here willing to help.
But remember the most important thing: Keep things simple.
    Especially for your first mod.

I myself have always been interested in seeing Chinese stuff added. Specifically for Singapore.

yes I'm willing to do all the work alone if i can do it alone i don't want to bother and give more hard time for others who are doing great job
and yes ill try to keep things as simple as i can i don't want to create a new island for this purpose maybe shared between Chinese and Japanese and pirates from Singapore but i heard that people don't want new island so maybe change one add new 1-2 or even 3 if i can towns for this purpose maybe think that England is fighting the Asian pirates in that strong hold if i can just add you will definitely sea those mighty Japanese castle hahaha but anyway I'll check this tutos that you gave me
and I'll try my best to do it (i have about 13 days free for me i can work on that )and help and advices on how i should or what i shouldn't do are always accepted
cheer me up lads you will soon see the land of the rising sun pirates coming

edit: maybe not now but can i add Japanese ships lol i can keep it simple can i lets get the first part done and maybe this

There are a lot of asian locations in VCO. A little too big in scale but very nice ones.

Al the tools we have can be found here:
    Index of /build/tools
GM Viewer and TOOL can both convert GM files to something else.

Though you can already get a long way without covering anything and just passing with the TOOL.
Or easier yet: Use one of those VCO locations. Those are already in GM format anyway.

The nicest thing which may be possible is to put a small arrow at the corner of the map which reloads to an "Asia" Island.
That shouldn't require editing the actual worldmap model, because it adds only an icon.
It could work similarly to Isla de Muerta.

VCO is simple enough. You just need the files, adapt them into PotC and add the relevant code.
They're already in GM format so that's one less thing to worry about.

I've never done it myself, but @Jack Rackham did.

@Jack Rackham should probably be able to help you with that VCO stuff.
But he's likely busy with other stuff lately.

hi everyone so today i was bored from coding for my own mod and so i though why not add some Singapore stuff (i work mainly on Japanese stuff here is an example of my latest work japanese house.blend.jpg still didn't finish it cuz i'm soo tired to do it now) but i have no idea what they look like ( i assume more Japanese style but ....) and so i remembered POTC for no reason and i though i should ask there maybe create some (for my old post about Asian towns)and give them to someone to add them to the game who knows (i have a shit problems with maya so that's why...)so anyone can support me with ideas and screenies if you can that would help thanks and please i know i shouldn't ask here but i love to ask here as i said maybe it might become the starting work for my Asian towns for my project just need someone with maya and you will find shit load of Asian towns from china japan Singapore maybe others i don't know

Adding Singapore would mean more storylines could be added such as AWE, I think I remember seeing that in a previous thread somewhere :/

That's the specific reason why I'd want a Singapore.
Of course without anyone to extend the PotC storyline, it doesn't matter much.

If someone makes it happen, then we will have it in the game.
