Hi,

well, whatever makes you happy...

Myself, I`m quite unhappy with suppliers who care so little for their customers they even do not deign to address such glaring cosmetics deficiencies.
But why whine, I should know who I`m dealing with after buying AoP from exactly the same suppliers. It`s just that I never learn...

Regards, Oldtimer

I agree that they should have tweaked their game before release. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> But past is past. Now it's our job to get rid of those few bugs. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Hi,

it`s not our job, but we`ll have to do it anyway if it`s to be done...

I hope your estimation of "a few bugs" is correct. Experience tells otherwise, though...

Regards, Oldtimer

Impressing rig, Oldtimer. Nothing to excuse a badly running game.

Did you try the support site? Afterall, it would be best if akella fixed this.

How many bugs? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />

I wonder what'd happen if the CoAS players write up a buglist and we send it to Playlogic or seaward.ru; Akella doesn't really have much to do with this title.

That would be a good idea.. mabey they'd make and release a patch. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Me rig:

- XP Home SP3,

- GeForce 9600 GT 512 MB,

- Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q8200 2.33ghz ,

- 3 GB RAM

with latest drivers.

Hi Peter,

Akella has a lot to do with this title. AFAIU Seaward are only a subcontractor to Akella. Akella is Playlogics partner, not Seaward. Any further work and release of patches must have Playlogics consent.

Regards, Oldtimer

Seaward.ru were the makers of the game and Playlogic the distributors. Where does Akella come in, other than as "inbetween"? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Hi Pieter,

Seaward.ru is simply a gang of top notch modders who formed a company to make this game on Akellas order, AFAIK.
Theirs being makers does not necessarily mean that they can exert control on the ready(?) product
after delivery to their principal, Akella. Strange are the workings of the industry, I know.

I distinctly remember a case(not the names, unfortunately) where game makers wanted to make patches, but were not allowed to by publishers, as the game in question sold well enough anyway and had good reviews.

It is Playlogic we must influence in the case of CoAS.

Regards, Oldtimer

I'll agree with that. But we probably can't get trough to Playlogic; they'll just ignore us. We CAN get through to seaward.ru though.
And I still wonder where Akella comes in; what Akella REALLY did. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

Hi Pieter,

Akella paid advances to Seaward so that they could eat and sleep somewhere while making the game, I think.

Regards, Oldtimer

Wow... would seaward.ru actually make any profit? Or did they just make a very low-cost game for Akella? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />

Hi,

I`m not the one to answer this...

Regards, Oldtimer

About the boarding "bug". I haven't encounter this bug yet but I've noticed that if you loot the chests in the boarding scenario; "spacebar" doesn't exit the cabin but leftmousebutton does.

Hi,

I think I tried this without success, but will try again.

Yes it is, you can talk to self and occasionally there are some useful options. In an "exist to jungle" area you can instigate an attack against the city (to which my character remarked that he doesn't have enough crew for that) and if you have slaves in your hold you can recruit them into your crew.

BUT, if you loot chests in captains cabin, you`re stuck in the way I described before.
Thats really dumb if it`s a WAD. I missed a nice sum in gold a few good items through this.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Put away your sword and left click. It does work for me.
What bothers me a lot more about this is that I have to wait for the padlock icon to appear before I can safely loot the chests and doors in the cabin and on the decks. If you don't wait and approach a chest, the hand icon will appear but then will be replaced by the padlock icon, so you can easily exit the idea accidentally.
