Please read the following guidelines before reporting bugs:

This forum is strictly for the purpose of reporting bugs encountered in the PotC Build Mod, so we would like you to adhere to the following rules when posting:
  1. Start by stating the Build version (and date of release if known) in which you encountered the bug (e.g. Build 14 Beta 3.1, 6th December 2013).
  2. Describe the bug as clearly as you can and post screenshots where applicable.
  3. Always upload your log files. They contain crucial information that may help us to fix the problem. See HERE for how to enable Error Logging.
  4. If you are not using the default (internal) setting and options please note what you changed.
  5. Upload a savegame in which you encountered the bug; this will help the team to replicate the problem and to find a fix.
  6. For performance-related bugs (e.g. graphical glitches or framerate issues), post your PC specs.
  7. Please report only one bug per thread to keep things organised.
  8. If your bug has already been reported, a team member will direct you to the proper thread.
Once a thread is posted, a member of the mod team will try to address your problem as soon as possible. Please be patient if it takes a while to get a reply.

The following thread prefixes are in use, with specific meanings:
  • Unconfirmed Bug - Default thread prefix for the bug tracker. The reported bug has not yet been confirmed by a team member.
  • Cannot Confirm - The team has tried to replicate the bug to work out what's wrong, but cannot confirm its existence.
  • Confirmed Bug - The team has confirmed the existence of this bug and someone will start working on a fix soon.*
  • Awaiting Info - The bug is confirmed, but we need more information to fix it.
  • Fix in Progress - A fix for the confirmed bug is being worked on, and we might need your help to test the solution!
  • Needs Testing - A fix has been made and needs to be tested before the bug can be confirmed as fixed.
  • Fixed - The bug reported in this thread has been fixed and is (or will be) included in the Build version stated by a member of staff.
  • Not a Bug - The item in question is not a bug. It is a feature that was deliberately added to the game.
  • Feature Request - An issue or feature that is not technically a bug, but could be improved or implemented differently.
  • Engine Limitation - The reported bug is due to a problem with the game engine, and cannot be fixed (as far as we know).
  • Won't Fix - The reported bug is either too minor or requires too much effort to fix.
Once the status of a bug has been updated, a staff member will change the thread prefix accordingly.
Threads marked as "Fixed", "Not a Bug" and "Engine Limitation" will be moved to the new Archive sub-forum.

CLICK HERE TO POST A BUG REPORT...

* Due to a shortage of programmers and/or 3D modellers, some bugs marked as confirmed may take a long time to fix, or may not even be fixed at all. This is due to the nature of the Build Mod, as all contributors are volunteers, so please bear this in mind.

Thank you for your cooperation,
Armada

Rules updated 6th March 2014
  • Added information about a new thread prefix named "Fix in Progress"
  • Added request to upload savegames containing bugs you describe in your threads
I'd also like to remind everyone that the Bug Tracker forum is strictly for reporting BUGS.
If you're having problems with general gameplay or quests that don't involve unexpected glitches or issues, please don't report it here.
