Never mind; I think I fixed all three these issues now.

Does anyone ever see any ships sailing around without flags?
Today I was doing some playtesting in the Master and Commander storyline and I found some flagless pirates.

Pretty stable, actually. I haven't had it crash on me for quite a while.
We're going to Beta in two weeks.
