I stumbled across this little item tonight. It is a microcode updater for AMD processors. What it does is makes them work more efficiently with old X87 systems like POTC.
I tried it tonight and it does indeed seem to work as I saw much better frame rates in high stress stuations. So far there do not seem to be any downside to it.
