Need Help Can not swap ships or sell own ship

Hello,

I have a really annoying problem that removes the joy of playing this game, especially now while i am currently sailing on a heavy lift vessel with almost no internet. Two of my colleagues can play this game without any problem. But for me the game doesn't let me swap ships with a ship i boarded/surrendered and i can also not sell my own ship.

Game:
Build 14 Beta 4.0

Stats:
Nathaniel Hawk
Tales of the Sea hawk
Naval officer level 10
Brigantine

Settings:
Shipyard Ship availability: Tried both settings (with 10+ new games)
Realistic Ship purchase: Tried both settings (with 10+ new games)
No Food needed
Brothels enabled
No gunpowder required for handguns
Tried save games with cheat mode on and off

Things i tried:
Clean reinstall three time
Started more than 10 new games with same story line
Tried with different player levels 0-15
Copy my save game to colleague pc
Start new game on colleague pc and copy save game to my pc
Tried multiple times to swap different ships from different tiers
Start new game with tier 1 ship, i can sell own ship but got a lot of money that ruins the game
Copy save game from colleague to my pc with naval officer level 20 and tier 1 ship, can sell and swap but still ruins the game.
Update to Build 14 beta 4.1 with old save game and pressed F11

Obvious differences between my and colleagues game:
After i board a ship and defeat the captain/crew this menu is showing "Crew". My colleagues pc/game it is showing "Assign prize crew"

Option for "Swap Ships" is not highlighted, can not click this option. (this is actually the problem) -> see attached file

While trying to sell my ship (which not works) i see "Sell". My colleagues pc/game is showing "Sell owned ship"

Things to try:
Start (again -.-) completely new game in beta 4.1


I hope i can get some help to solve this problem, thanks in advance.

Actually working at sea? That is very awesome! I've worked on ships myself for five years as well.

Out of curiosity, what company are you working for?

Naval officer level 10

Have a look at this Wiki page, specifically the section about "Naval Officers":
New Horizons Playing Styles | PiratesAhoy!

The idea is that since you are part of the Navy, the choice of what ship to sail isn't yours.
You are ordered to command a certain ship and you have to stick with that.

This gives you definitely less freedom, but when you are promoted, you get new ships and officers for free.
Especially the ones you get at the higher ranks are some pretty nice ones.

There are two things you can do: Continue playing as a Naval Officer and make use of those promotions or starting a New Game as a different type of character.
It depends on what kind of game experience you want.
