Captain Blood, Swashbucklers, & Seadogs 2

With these new pirates games coming out of the market I am confused about certain details. In the game Swashbucklers as well as captain Blood, the previews of them makes them sound like you will not be able to sail any ship other than the one you start with. Can anyone tell me if This is ture or not? For Me the main joy of Sailing games is the expirence of sailing many different ships.

Also will Sea dogs 2 Still be released as its own game? or has the Captain blood and Swashbucklers taken the place of Sea dogs two? If anyone can clairfy this I would be most gratful.
 
There are 3 games, some of the details are still a bit sketchy, the Seadogs 2 akella refers to it as a "Pirate Sim" so that all open. This is the one most of us are waiting for <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Captain Blood is very linear, 1 path, 1 boat this is more for the roleplaying guys.

Swashbucklers is atm for PS2 i think its very plot driven but if its as closed as Captain blood im not sure yet
 
Ahh i see So then Sea dogs two is still planned to come out as its own game then. Good to hear. Im not too big on those linear games. When is the release date for Seadogs Two does anyone know? And will it be on the same engine as Potc still or will it have its own?
 
So there is going to be a POTC 3 or Sea Dogs 2, whatever you wanna call it.
Is there any news on the game yet? It's been quiet here for a while.
 
Yeah emailed alex a few days ago and he said its being pushed back due to other jobs plus the talks with the western publisher are taking longer than expected

I doubt it'll be cancelled - Akella's got a lot on their plate right now tho, so it's understandable that they'd have to push this back a bit.

I believe that Sea Dogs 2 (or whatever they call it) is due out in Russia in December, and sometime after the New Year for the rest of the world. They're still trying to iron out some things in the legal department.
