Capturing Islands

I was wondering if anyone knew how to capture islands?

Probably Tommy or Jonty would be the ones to talk to about that. The capture colony feature is not finished and is a little buggy. As far as I know, destroy the fort and land and take the colony.

If the colony has no Fort then sink all the ships arround the island that belong to the same nation as the colony.
Then you should be able to land troops at the colony and fight to capture it.
