THESE!

(COAS screenie, as I don't have POTC installed)
That's like the worst inventory system I could come up with if I was intentionally trying to.

That's like the worst inventory system I could come up if I was intentionally trying to.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->Ah! I get it. That really IS exactly the same as in PotC! And I agree the inventory doesn't work well for large amounts of items.
We added some "Weapons/Medications/Items" buttons to the PotC Build mod inventory, which improves it somewhat. But not much. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

Yeah, whenever you want something at the end of the list you have to scroll past all those damn trinkets and maps. Shift+scrolling goes faster, but still. I mean, why even keep the maps as items at all? Once you buy them they should just be added to your journal instead of cluttering up your inventory. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

We've got maps in a seperate screen. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

Yeah, rub it in, why dontcha. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

You can also get PotC. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/razz.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":razz" border="0" alt="razz.gif" />

I hope you've got a huge amount of patience then. We do want to, but it won't be done within two years, I think. Need to finish Build 14 first too.

Trust me, it'll get done. Just a matter of time. **grins**

There are many interesting bits that will get added in as we are able to.

after reading this thread I'm gonna reinstall potc ,Ive never tried this mod your on about what do i need and what are good additions that supplement the mod

Build 14 is pretty much all inclusive. You need PotC, Build 14 9.5 Alpha.

Follow the instructions on how to install from Pieter's Signature and play.

Cap'n Drow

You do need to install four different files in correct order for it to work properly. We'll simplify it again some time soon. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />
But indeed the link in my signature will get you through. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

But not the wave heights? Or is it just storms that don't occur randomly and don't end when you're in them?<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Yes the wind does change direction, the waves don't change, testing confirmed after 4 game day's that waves remained the same throughout those day's, it was like a storm was coming but never arrived. I don't know as of yet if that means the storm will not come because i had to save the game and go out, luckily we can save whilest at sea i don't know if loading a game in 3D sailing will change the weather we had but i will soon find out.

I had some problems with build 14 some files that was been run in the bat file was unable to be installed so i had to return back to build 13, i later uninstalled POTC and have now reinstalled the game and build 13 final again, i will try again to install build 14. I know its not the build because it worked the first time i installed it, i think it was my brother who was messing with POTC, he likes build 13 over build 14 because its finished. I think the nurse dropped him on his head when he was born he's never been quit right.

I am absolutely positive that I've seen waves change. Specifically when sailing from port, where you start with a totally calm sea. Once you get far away from the island, the sea becomes more rough. The change is rather abrupt, though.

Yes i've been looking into that and i can confirm the sea getting rougher, i set out on June 26th and its now July 1st i haven't switched to any other view, this has been all done via 3D sailing only and the sea from calm at Nevis to where ever i am now has been getting rougher and rougher. Perhaps the options for weather changing is there just needs switching on or something, my test is to cover 26 day's at sea i've got a long way to go before my testing is complete, this is only phase one of testing more testing will be done in other area's later. I have if you like a captains log of whats been happening which i will post later, it helped me pass the time away lol.

What the hell its not finished but i can alway's update it, here you go.
<a href="http://gallery.myff.org/gallery/528342/p1.JPG" target="_blank"><img src="http://gallery.myff.org/gallery/528342/p1.JPG" border="0" class="linked-image" /></a>
We set sail on the 26th June at 16:24 we had been waiting for several hours for the wind to change course, the sea was calm, we had enough food on board to last for 21 day's long enough for us to do some testing.

Our first test was to see how the waves changed without switching from 3D sailing, this would take 21 day's to test and in that time we expect to have a lot of our questions answered. So here we go.

<a href="http://gallery.myff.org/gallery/528363/p2.JPG" target="_blank"><img src="http://gallery.myff.org/gallery/528363/p2.JPG" border="0" class="linked-image" /></a>
22nd June 06:48, the sea is still calm the only things that have changed is its misty and the wind, its now blowing East, we will continue to sail South, the wind speed is 6.8 kts and we are sailing along at 1.9 kts.

<a href="http://gallery.myff.org/gallery/528385/p3.JPG" target="_blank"><img src="http://gallery.myff.org/gallery/528385/p3.JPG" border="0" class="linked-image" /></a>
22nd June 15:24, the wind speed has increased to 12.4 kts and our speed has increased to 3.6 kts. The waves it seems do change a little not so much that you would really notice, last night it seemed rougher not much but a little, the sea looks as it did before we left port so thats answered one question, we will do further testing to confirm this before moving on to test 2.

<a href="http://gallery.myff.org/gallery/528485/p1.JPG" target="_blank"><img src="http://gallery.myff.org/gallery/528485/p1.JPG" border="0" class="linked-image" /></a>
1st July 21:52, We decided to extend the testing to see if bad weather would ever arrive, we are not sure if bad weather is due but we can see the waves are stronger now. Because of it been so late the waves might not show in the above picture it was the best i could capture with the light fading.

<a href="http://gallery.myff.org/gallery/528486/p2.JPG" target="_blank"><img src="http://gallery.myff.org/gallery/528486/p2.JPG" border="0" class="linked-image" /></a>
1st July 23:12, the waves seem to be getting stronger than earlier could this actually mean we are heading into some rough sea's or is there a storm on its way, we shall see, the wind is blowing in a more Southern direction now so with are happily sailing along at 4.3 kts, we have no idea where we are we've been heading South ever since we left port on the 26th June, seems so long ago now. Again sorry about the poor quality picture but it was brighter than that, print screen not been able to utilize the textures and level of detail too well.

Thanks a lot. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doff" border="0" alt="doff.gif" />

It's nothing to worry about, as long as the game itself works properly afterwards.

Why don't you make a copy of your Build 13 installation, then install Build 14 on top of that?
That way, you've got both versions installed and you can run whichever you want. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

I uninstalled POTC and deleted all files from the directories, run defrag etc etc and reinstalled POTC as fresh with build 13 final installed now aswell.

I never knew you could play either build 13 or build 14, i thourght which ever was the last build installed that was the only version you could play.

I lowered the camera to see the waves better and as one wave swept over me, this is what i got, the bad effects at the top is the actual wave going over the camera.

It'll require a lot of additional HD space, but it works,
I've got working installations of Build 13 Final and pretty much all recent Alpha's too.

If you do a search for posts I've made, I've given instructions on how to have multiple installations several times in the past.

All those installs in my signature, those are all installed on my home computer all at the same time RIGHT NOW. I can play any one of those versions listed any time I choose.
