Guide COMPLETE POTC WALKTHROUGH *SPOILER WARNING*

The quests you mention are unfinished and disabled in the stock game. They are finished and working in the mods. Build 12 is the main mod. It contains a lot of improvements over the original game (bugfixes, unfinished code finished and other completely new features) and it is highly recommended getting it. I can think of no reason to not use Build 12. The Post Build 12 mods contain the mods made after Build 12. This modpack also contains a lot of great new stuff, but is still slightly buggy. So if you want to have th most stable game, get Build 12. If you want the most new features, get the Post Build 12 mods too.

I finally reinstalled and added Build 12 and Post Build 12 then started a new game. All went werll until I sailed out of Oxbay. Now, instead of getting the cutscene of the French attack I am struggling to sail past a Freech squadron which has the weather gage. Any suggestions? What have I inadvertently activated?

To which I found the asnwer in

I MUST learn to check the boards betetr BEFORE asking. :-D

Never mind, Schwerpunkt. That question has been asked lots of times after this was changed. I should make a note about it somewhere, so that everybody starting the game will know. Actually, Malcolm Hatcher does say you should raise French colours when leaving port during the dialog, but I suppose nobody reads that dialog anymore. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

OK, I have hit another 'challenge' using Post-Build12. On the main Quest thread I am trying to escape Oxbay with Tobias and the French Captain. But as soon as we make a break for the ship the two new forts at the harbor entrance open fire and kill us immediately. At least I believe they are the cause as there are no soldiers nearby when it happens.

Have tried taking different routes but the incoming fire is unerring. First salvo and we die. Is there some secret handshake to get out safely now?

Thanks in advance.

To Schwerpunkt. Check the 11th thread under POTC Gameplay, captioned Post Build 12 settings - how do I excape Oxbay FCS. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

This bug will be fixed in the next update, I hope. There are two fixes available, but I'm first trying the first version that might fix the problem. If that doesn't work, I'll add in the second that will fix the problem. I don't really want to use the second though, because that removes all new buildings from Oxbay port after you left the port.

I think that second method of your is the one I ended up taking. Snuck out and went to the shack before doubling back and collecting the other two guys. Loses some of the additional eye candy but at least I'm alive. ;-) Thanks for the suggestions.

The name is "Build 12". You can get it from the main PiratesAhoy! website. It containts a lot of major improvements over the original game and is very recommended to get. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Ahoy there. I'm a new member here but i've using this site for help for quite a while now. anyway i've started the saga of the blacque family and i'm well and truely stuck. I spoke to rachel and then nothin else happened on the quest. i managed to stumble across her father he just asked if i'd seen his son and i said no. i then stumbled across his sun in redmond but when i tlk to him i just say that his name is familar. how do u start this quest?

Help me please!!

p.s. i've tried asking everyone about rachel blacque (including harbor master) but i never get an option to bring it up.

Welcome on board eggyuk,

try to use all available options to talk with harbour master; it should be somewhere under first dialog option. After that you need to talk with Rachel once again and you'll have two choices: give her money or ask her who hit her. If you gave her money you can sail to Redmond to take Mark back to FdF (talking with Redmond shopkeeper and paying him some money after meeting Mark). If you chose second option you'll need to scare ...{moron}... who beat her (I forgot his name, he's in FdF port and gives also information about Fred Bob) and convince him to leave Rachel alone. After that you only must to inform Rachel that thug won't molest her anymore before sailing to Redmond.

Ah, and if you can't talk with harbour master try to talk with ...{moron}... first.

I hope it helps.

i know this is an old topic now, but i really need help.

i've started 2 side quests:

1. i need to escort a ship on a voyage from falais de fleure > isla muelle > falais de fleure. but when i do this nothing happens! i've tried talkin to people in each town.

2. i started a mission where i travel to oxbay with another ship, we land on the shore, we kill some guards and other men, then he tells me we should go follow the convoy. so i do that, then i have NO idea where to go, i've looked all around the place!

am i missing something? or are these quests the victims of a glitch or bug?

thanks both!

but for no2, i found the convoy, i follow them. they go into the next scene then i dont know where they go!
