Constantly crashing

If you'll read through the archives you'll see that many of us had trouble with Radeon cards .I had the same problems you are having when I was using a Radeon 6400 ,but then I switched to a geforce 5500 vid card and it hasn't crashed once ,except when I tried to experiment with modding and fouled it up .I don't know why POTC has trouble with Radeon cards ,but it does.

I use a Radeon 9600 Pro. I only had maybe one or two crash's.
But some Radeon user who have had crash's use omega drivers for Radeon and find they don't get any more crash's or so much try it.
The Omega Drivers have been recognized by ATI as the best moddeed drivers in the Internet!!!

<a href="http://www.omegadrivers.net/" target="_blank">omega drivers </a>
See if that help's.

I might just try that
Thanks.
Oh, BTW, does anyone know how to reduce the black pearl's HP, cause I killed her and then the game crashed before I could save it... and I really can't be bothered to do it again. I did try once, and I had her sitting still without a single sail standing, but I couldn't board her and it was taking too long to finish her off, so I had to quit.

Try sorting your crash's out 1st then when you sort that out, your be able to take on ship and take them with out crashing. So after you instelled omega drivers and see if the crash stop's. Sorry best I can think of right now.

Of course. Look in the file Ships_init.c for the line that says ...

refShip.HP = 100000;

...and change it to a lower number, like 15000.

There's now a toggle in the Build Settings that will allow you to board the Black Pearl.

Yea & that is here

#define REALISTIC_BLACKPEARL 1 // type=bool, desc="set to 1 to enable boarding of the Black Pearl."
#define BARBOSSA_CAN_SURRENDER 0 // type=bool, desc="set to 1 to allow Barbossa and skellies onboard Black Pearl to surrender."

Although the ability to toggle it has been there for awhile, as is most things in the BuildSettings & InternalSettings.
