crazy bands of white across the screen

ok this is crazy when i play aop2 i sometimes get large bands of white or white lines on the screen,
my spec are
2gb ram/2.66ghz dualcore p4 /geforce graph card 7800gs factory oc 512mb mem,
the game plays great but as i say now and again when i enter attack mode or get caught in a storm i get these bands of white light across the screen ,
Ive tried turning the settings down but still got it Ive upped the gc drivers Ive defraged,
all the usual stuff but nothing works any ideas guys ,its not really killing the game for me its just a pain
 
ok here are some screenies after playing for 3 hours half way through i took these after that the game played like before ok nothing wrong

im using nvidia 181.20 drivers and my res is 1152-864 /75hz

How about that, almost same specs as me but its the GPU that courght my eye, its the same as mine and i had the same problem with an onld game called stronghold 2, anyway you need to uninstall the GPU drivers because thats the problem and find an older driver, i've got the basic driver's pack and will not be updating my drivers any time soon. Hope that helps you out.

Do you use any modifications? In the original Russian version isn't sails as sails on the screens.

the only mod i have is the ship i use it was a config that i got from gameburn,
hope its not that i love my manowar lol

Modifications for AoP isn't compatible with CoAS.
 
the guy said it was a config for aop2,apart from that graphics glitch the game runs smooth and plays well no lag or slow down ,
i might play about with my nividia global settings to see if theres a problem with them

I am also experiencing weird visual artifacts. Here's a representative sample:

These only appear on the load/save game screen. When I click they go away.
 
Wow, freaky folks. I've not yet experienced any visual artifacts in this game.

I wish I had some suggestions for you.

Sometimes, I have a half white sun over my ship. Near the main mast, a white point appears and when I move the camera, some white rays coming from the white point shine across the screen. This only happens very seldom, but it is annoying. I can post a picture if I encounter that error again.
 
ive given up on aop2 ,the glitches became more and more as i went further into the game,
im gonna try that super mod on aop, a game i bought years ago and threw in a cupboard because it was so unstable ,read a few posts on here saying the super mod makes it stable ,
if they bring out a patch i might try aop2 again in a few months time,
 
That really looks like a HOT graphic card. No mater what kind of a graphic card you have, if it is not properly cooled and starts to COOK, well it's either clean the computer insides, clean the fans, add larger fans, add more fans -OR- you will be buying a NEW graphic card. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
