i have some idea about the future story line of jack sparrow.

after saving lucas girlfriend mission. wait 2 weeks and bootstrap bill turner will appear on ship deck.
after his warning about davy jones jack will sail to new island where there he will meet some natives which declare him their god.

then changing from jack to will turner. he will meet elizabath in the church for their wedding and cuttler becket will appear and arrest them both. then backet will visit will turner at the prison and ask him to find jack and take his compass.

will will sail to turtoga and seek for jack sparrow.then he will go to the tavern and ask the captian who will stand some where in the tavern if he knows some think about jack sparrow and the black pearl. then the captian will bring will to the new island and then will go through few jungels until he will come to some camp or temple and be arrested by the natives.
then the natives will bring him to jack and then jack and will will talk.
after their talk they will run away from the natives and go to release the crew. after releasing the crew they will run to the ship.

THAT IS MY IDEA TO HOW BEGIN THE DEAD MANS CHEST MISSION. :keith :onya :dance :gday :hmm

That sounds about right, but indeed the stuff Peter Blood mentions needs to be in there as well.
We've got ideas aplenty, including some old ones involving possible non-movie parts,
such as the possibility for the final swordfight to end in three different ways depending on who gets the heart.
The thing is that it needs to be coded. Here's to hoping Captain Maggee will be able to get back into it.

The original idea was to somehow incorporate the turkish prision with the libary scene from the Lucas quest (picture of key in book) ;)

Only read the spoiler if you really dont mind finding out about stuff
The Lucas storyline after CotBP is actually non-canon in my point of view... It does require being done however to continue the storyline... the quest can actually be done earlier on in the game (even from the start I think) and in this case it would show why Jack did pretty much forget about Jones and you get the book later from the liberian which includes a code to the location of the turkish prison (if done later Jack will probably just steal the book) which Im thinking of having the player actually work out

maybe after the lucan girlfriend mission gibbs go to jack and tells him that jack should go and read that book again.maybe he can find something more interesting about davy jones.then jack will go back to nevis and reas again the book and findout about the key than he will meet his father teage sparrow and teage and jack will talk about the key and where to find it.then teage will tell jack that he can find something that can help in that turkish prison.then jack will sail to that prison and when he arrives to that island he will meet some patrol guard and will pay him to get inside the prison and eventually come out by his help. then the guard will agree and let jack get inside the prison.inside prison he will be escort by that guard to one of the cages and insid ethe cage he will ask the prisoners about the key.then one prisoner will tell jack about davy jones screat(his heart and the key) and give him the paiting of the heart. after that jack will call the guard he paid to but he wont appear.then jack will ask the prisoners help him to escape by playing dead and the prisoners will take him out to throw him out to the sea.here we can put the escaping scene from the movie and after that jack will be on deck of the black pearl and talk to gibbs and say him to sail out to the sea.after that jack will go to his cabine and THEN bootstarp will appear and then it will go as i wrote before. :will :doff :drunk :cheers :hmm

Wasn't the idea with Lucas the following?

The scene where Jack Sparrow first meets Davy Jones was so weird (note the dense fog) that he thought it was a dream of some kind.
(This might need emphasizing in the questbook or dialog files). Then when Jack ends up in the First Contact quest
(which has been made into a sequel to the Lucas one), he learns that Davy Jones is real, which sets him on the trail of saving his soul.
So then he is to try to find out as much about Davy Jones as he can and, in so doing, ends up in the Turkish Prison.

If you do the Lucas quest before Jack's deal with Davy Jones is even made, things go completely different.
You end up reuniting Davy Jones with Tia Dalma, who then live happily ever after.
When you DO get to the point where you have to make the deal with Davy Jones, he is grateful to you and gives you the Black Pearl for free.
You subsequently do not get into the deal with Davy Jones and the entirety of DMC does not happen.

Woops my bad... I completely forgot about that conversation Pieter :facepalm

Above was my original idea but then Pieter and I decided to do it this way :yes

So the book is unimportant if you do it earlier
Where as the book is very important in a later one and I will think of a way to put it into going into DMC :yes

you right..... :mm i think it would be the best to change the end of lucas girlfriend mission that after the governor reward jack gibbs will arrive and tell him to read more about davy jones.and then as i wrote . :shrug

I will now offer my ideas for how to do the Turkish Prison.

Following the Lucas Quest, Jack learns the truth about Davy Jones and his debt (that his previous encounter wasn't a dream and that he does have a very real debt). After finding the book about Jones and going to do further research in Nevis, he learns about a way to be able to control Davy Jones and the Dutchman, but he does not know all the details (a page from the book is ripped). He then comes across an old friend, Thomas the Terror, who tells Jack all he knows on Jones and that he used to sail with a man who knew the secret of Jones' immortality. Jack then realizes that not only can he stop his debt, but he can also achieve immortality himself. The man who Thomas once sailed with was a Turk who, from what he heard, recently became an assassin and tried to murder a Middle Eastern sultan. For that, he was taken to "Some unknown prison in the Mediterranean." Jack inquires as to the whereabouts of the prison and learns that it is in a secret location, but the security is so high that some European nations pay money to keep their most vicious convicts there. One such country is Portugal and every year the government of Lisbon charters a large prison Hulk to make a trip transporting prisoners from Conception to the Turkish Prison. You then sail to Sao Jorge and inquire as to where the prison ship is. In the tavern, you see a Portuguese soldier and kill him when no one is looking. While looting his corpse, you find a security clearance that will get you aboard the prison ship. Before going on the other ship, Jack tells Gibbs to have the Pearl pursue the prison ship across the sea at a comfortable distance. Once onboard the ship you speak with one of the prisoners and he agrees to allow you to take his place on the voyage. You then hand him the papers which will allow him to get off the ship safely. You get transported to the prison island and are put in a jail cell. You attempt to escape and find the storeroom where they keep the prisoner's possessions and you find the diary of the Turkish sailor (who has since been executed). You are discovered by the guards and are taken back to your cell. The warden decides that Jack is too much trouble to be kept alive, and he is scheduled to be hanged in the morning. It is then, while waiting for your execution, that Teague comes to your rescue and says that he has been following you aboard a small sloop he "borrowed". He helps you escape and together you kill some of the guards and find your personal effects. Outside of the prison, Teague states that they must part ways. He asks for the Turk's journal though, as it has the location of some lost treasure that he had been looking for and you hand it over. Inside, a piece of parchment falls out (the drawing of the key) and Teague tells you that it is the key to the chest of Davy Jones, but Teague disappears before you get a chance to ask more questions. You run down to the cliffs edge and notice some coffins. Jack gets inside one just as two guards come down to throw the corpses into the water. Next the cutscene opening of DMC starts and the questline begins.

Did you folks have any ideas on how to fake the Turkish Prison? If not, I could provide some creative support and advice.

Faking the Turkish Prison? Just a regular prison won't do, will it?

I was referring more to the exterior. It had quite a unique design in the movie. Do we have anything that could get the point across?

How about the tower shown in one of the images in this post --->>> http://forum.piratesahoy.net/index.php/topic/18530-continue/page__view__findpost__p__419069

with a bit more water arround it. :shrug

:drunk

Maybe not just this one but there are a lot of more towers, walls, forts etc in VCO to grab.. :d:

Kinda small, but it could work. At least it would get the point across. What about that fort location from COAS? I believe it is somewhere in the build mod too, Someplace on Eleuthera.

Indeed the CoAS fort is on Eleuthera. :yes

I was thinking a modified lighthouse beach location might work? Repainted to be a lot darker and spookier with a whole bunch of candle locators being added for extra effect.

Very cool to see ideas going around for incorporating the other movies into the Jack Sparrow storyline, I'm definitely subscribing to this topic.

Nice idea. Never thought of that one. My only concern for such though, however, is the fact that the lighthouse will probably be our only solution for faking White Cap Bay, which would require a darker reskin of the area as it stands.

As for the interior, I was thinking the cave location on the island near Isla Muelle where the Mafisto docks. There are prison cells in there, and it leaves a very dark and gloomy impression. A fort location could be incorporated in there somewhere like shown in the AWE game.
