Now we seem to have lost the audio cue (ding) when your pocket is picked.

That one is difficulty dependent. Happens only on Apprentice and Journeyman.

It is a bit of a mean joke, but even on those higher difficulties you can notice immediately that you have been robbed even without the sound.
