Bug Game Stuttering/Skipping in Map mode?

Hello, Every time I go into map mode to get to a destination quicker It always wants to skip or stutter. The ship would move one second stop then go ago and repeat. The only change to the game I've done is the dmv to get the game to play without the disk. If you can help with this it would be awesome.

I have not had that happen and can not remember it happening. Could background programs be causing the stuttering?

It's never happen to me either with COAS. That used to happen to me when I played AOP1 Caribbean Tales. When I realized the game played better with the game folder on my desktop instead of in the Program Files partition it never happened again.
