Hello newbie questions

My name is Saul and I'm new to the game Age of Pirates and to this forum. I haven't played yet since I have to download the patches so I wanted to ask some stuff.

Its all mainly about Mods:

I tried using the search but it didn't work the way I was expecting it, perhaps I didn't search the correct way. So anyway my questions.

1- After a little info searching it seems there were some kinda total conversion mods in the works but by the Topic date they seem old and the websites are not working.
Can someone tell me all the current high ranking(still alive and of excellent quality) mods for the game?


When I sink a ship will it never leave some kind of floating loot? Like in the game Voyage Century Online?

1. Secrets of the Far Seas is a good mod, but it is in Russian, almost all good mods are in Russian though.
2. A ships leaves loot after you sink it. But if you board it, you can take it through an interface.

The only English modpack for AoP is the so-called "Supermod" which adds a couple of new stuff, such as jungles and some ships, but I don't think it constitutes a total conversion. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="no.gif" />
