Help...Stuck in main quest !!!

Im working for the Dutch Governor who told me to deliver some papers to Isla Mona. There are no one to recive them. Tried the tavern, Shipyard and Store, but no question mark over anyones head.

I can't do the quest, so do anyone know if im doing anything wrong og if you can hack the game to bypass this bug ???

PS. I know it's not the Main Quest, but a governor quest, but i this forum won't allow you to edit the Topic title. Guess it's just as "Bugged" as the game...

Your contact should be in the tavern. If it's night time, the question mark is dark and hard to see against the background of the tavern wall. You could try sleeping in the tavern and look again the following day; sometimes the contact doesn't show up until you've done this.

Having said that, I had an escort mission once where the captain of the escorted ship didn't show up. I tried searching for a dark question mark, I tried sleeping and then searching the tavern again, still no sign of the captain, so I had to reload an earlier saved game. Since then I make a point of saving the game just before going into the governor's house; if he gives me a job which turns out to be impossible, at least I don't lose too much game time by reloading and trying again. (Save before you go into the house, then if you reload and go in again, he'll give you a different random job. The next one might actually be possible.)

I had same problem many times. I ordered the escortees to do suicide attacks to get rid of them. But i think that when a quest can´t be finished the game is bugged and should be restored to a prequest save. Because strange things may happen after that, like escortees appearing and disappearing in your character list without any logic. Or the funniest i remember, i did accept a mission to escort a ship and the ship was the Bloody Michell with Marcus Le Sanguinaire. I did it, but when i tried the main quest later, the Bloody Michell <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sailr.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="sailr.gif" /> never came back again. Had to restart the whole game.

Probably the best tactic would be to save before every quest and save again only when it is finished.
