How to change ranks in POTC Build Mod?

I wish to make real officer ranking system, who uses in Royal Navy <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" />

In Build12 there is already something like this, after you take the LoM you start military career and then you can get Royal Navy rank (eg. Mindship, Liutenent, Commander, Captain, etc..).

With the new rank in the tailor shop you can buy the appropriate navy uniform.

But in Build 12 Mod we have mixture of navy and aristocracy ranks/titles, I went to create full real ranking system without aristocracy titles for career in Royal Navy or navy’s of other nations in POTC like this:
1 = "Midshipman";
2 = "Lieutenant-Junior Grade";
3 = "Lieutenant";
4 = "Corvette Captain";
5 = "Frigate Captain";
6 = "Captain";
7 = "Commodore";
8 = "Rear Admiral";
9 = "Vice Admiral";
10 = "Admiral";
11 = "Fleet Admiral";
12 = "First Lord of Admirality";

Maybe we can make one small anket abuot this. That see who ranking system players would went to have in Build 12 Mod.

If you want to change the ranks in the game as well and open up PROGRAM\NATIONS\nations_init.c. You can easily change it in there. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Won't he also have to change "POTC\Resource\ini\texts\English\Common.ini" as well?

Now that we have Antigua as Navy base I have some thoughts about naval mod
No need to make 100% new mod but change old mods so they work together as navy mod.
buy Letter of mark = buy officers commission.
ship money = Kings money to run ship.
governor missions =Naval station Admirals mission
Now as you can take crew to shore = press gang to get crew = first offer money,
then use sandbag or fists,
+ flogging to dicipline crew. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

I make changes ranks in \PROGRAM\NATIONS\nations_init. And started new game but in game now I have some dialogs and showing ranks problems. When I was promoted in dialog with governor game not written new rank and show me this “…Your new rank is . In addition…” and not show my modified rank with my name in characters menu. Maybe I doing something wrong in I \PROGRAM\NATIONS\nations_init…

I send to POTC forum my modified nations_init in attachment and maybe you can correct my mistakes in it. Thenk you for help <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" />

Have you done what Petros suggested? You probably have to add the ranks to Resource\ini\texts\English\Common.ini as well, because of the translation mod.
 
Everything works fine now.
