well, it wasn't really the tavern, it was the people sitting in it. they where the same people (moris biddulph and that other guy that looks like malcom). i don't mind the taverns being the same, just the people.

1. the merrige thing.

2. the uppertunity to give a colony to diffente nation after taking the respektive colony fort.

3. the "slave quest/goods/town" what will it be fellow Pirates???????????????

Yo all, cocerning improvements or mod ideas, is it possible to add an option via the harbour master {possibly as a fast travel method by opening a new cell} to book passage to another island when you don't have a ship, this could cost more depending on the number of passengers with you and would thus enable a break from pirating for a while or as an adventure whilst the booty is being spilt ?
Also, could it be made possible for the lands acquired to be broken down to the amount you have with each nation and the amount in gold received to vary with your reputation with that nation ? with the forfeit of land at extreme levels. To prevent overload of computing the rent received could be computed at the month end and placed with the money lender on that island. Thus requiring you to visit there to get the money? ...... also perhaps you could buy new land for huge amounts thus enabling you to use up some of the vast sums of money horded, well i do have some 100 million now... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> and do try to get as much land as possible useing pirate quests, anyhow thats my 2 cents and congrats to the mod teams out there... even though i'm back to build 12.1... lmao

Being able to book passage would be a great idea; especially if you've fallen on hard times and don't have much money. And of course the ship you take passage on might be boarded by pirates or privateers, sunk in a storm, etc. Don't know if the engine could support something like that though...
 
I think the engine should support it, consider the pirate quest when stranded and can become a member of the crew, booking passage could do the same but without the sword fight, unless boarded by those pesky pirates <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> .... also you might not be able to get any passage to the island you want that weak, making use of the local tavern thus becomes useful.
I was also thinking that perhaps Khoel Rhea {however its spelt its early here...} should only be accessible for one or two weeks only at set times of the year, which the scientist fellow can advise you of once he has deciphered the description.... thus tying in with his references of certain tides allowing passage ? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />
 
the player doesn't know that yet you know. it should be made clear with a rumor including a date or something like that.
 
yep that makes sense, especially if you happened to get marooned and your ship leaves without you or gets marooned, could possibly escape useing an unknown route through the pirates cove which only the smugglers know about and charge for the service or demand a quest? .... they blindfold you and your crew so you have to rely on them to use their service, changing more fees of course should you happen to return outside the tidal patterns. This enables access to the island in the future. Makes use of the pirate hideout on the island then <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
 
em, hawkwind, you do know that Khael Rhoa and the pirate island are two different islands right? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huhh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:k" border="0" alt="huhh.gif" />
 
yep bud, but last time i played there was a secret pirates hideout in a cave on khael.... honest guv... i'm sure there was ... lol, i kinda got some repairs done there b4 sailing off, pretty sure it should still be there in build 13 but cos of crashes i cant test that <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
 
wierd. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> i only found a cave and some jungles. and of course the temple. never found a pirate hideout though. i did notice that on conceciao, you get to the smugglers hideout from two beaches. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> you end up in exactly the same place!

It was added way back in one of the post Build 12's or it might even be in Build 12!
You've probably been there and did not realize it.
It is not a village or settlement.

It is a cave and inside is just like the Mines at Oxbay Canyon.
You find your crew members walking an can tell them to start repairs as you'll be staying a while.

Maybe it could be expanded sometime. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

Hello everyone, haven't been here a while, and I have come up with ideas of my own. Not sure if someone else thought of 'em, but I think these are good.

1. The ability to get more quests from governors, something like delivery from colony to colony(letters, money, goods, etc.)

2. The relations with each colony can change. this idea also has something to do with idea #1, where you can deliver either peace treaties for peace, or to declare war by sending ultimatums.

3. add more details to original ships(I.E. standard ships like the corvette), like maybe adding more, realistic rigging like you guys did to some of the ships you bguys have constructed. after all, it's kinda awkward seeing these huge ships with only 2 ropes between each mast.

4. put the nation's national emblem on standard sails instead of the old looking whole sails.

You guys are incredible at this and I believe you guys can do it.
