Solved Is there a way to give officers better weapons?

Can you give officers better weapons because I can't find out how to do it by talking to them. Or do they just use weapons you add to the weapon locker? And can you add bandages into the weapons locker and will your officers also use those?

Press [Enter] when you stand in front of them and there will be a menu item to transfer items with them.
You can get into the same menu through the F2>Characters interface too.

Yes to both.

Officer and crew will also use armour if you give it to them by the same methods, but you won't necessarily see any difference because few models have variants for different armour. So if you give your officer a suit of armour, or leave armour in the weapons locker for the crew to use, the only difference you'll notice is that the officer doesn't take as much damage in a fight and the crew are more likely to survive boarding actions.
