Need Help Mod & Cheat Request List

    And another one lol, these keep popping into my head as i play AOP more and more.
    If there is anyway to make troops and or persons on the fort walls during sea mode. I think it would look alot more realistic. Also mabie make the fog of war stay around a little bit longer, iv seen 9pdr cannons fire and boy oh boy does the smoke stick around for awhile.
    Also mabie make other sea life like whales or dalphins swimming by your ship.
    Mabie the ability to bury gold on a island somewhere. instead of using the banks and such it in my eyes would add a little bit of realism.
    If this has been requested before im sorry but mabie different looks for ships according to different countries. Like i dont wanna sail around in a ship that has the G R or E R on the back if im a pirate. Also if you can name your ship and then on the back of the ship have it show there. Also maybe have the ability to change the decorative statue on the front of your ship. well ill stop for now and let others post thier requests!! Hopefully you modders out there can make some if not all of these requests possible cause i think it would really enhance the overall greatness this game already has.

    id like to see a clothing mod maybe like on potc at least a option for maybe nation officer uniforms for blaze maybe a decked up pirate long coat an such i do like the new look with the super mod but i do like the long coats too hehe

    I have only seen this in the old "Pirates! Gold" version of Sid Meir's original Pirates! game, but I thought it was so cool, and so realistic...would love to see it again, don't know if it can be done, or how hard it would be to do...

    Have the option, maybe from the world map view, to "fire a shot across the bow" of an obviously outclassed target, along with a random decision of the opponent to run up a white flag and heave to. The advantage for you is that you don't have to take damage to capture the ship. The advantage for the opponent would be that you could not execute him only ransom him.

    On the subject of ransoms, fix the text so when your on their particular islands the screen would say ransom and not release, just so you knew you were ransoming them off.

    I heard mentioned the ability the execute your officers for asking for a raise, and I like it but I would to get a copy of the officers.c that removed their need for raises to increase loyalty at all.
    Just have loyalty based on your leadership skills (High would mean they would always be in good spirits, barring no food), and if their leadership was high they would recognize the burdens of command and be fanatical. The real reason I want to remove raises is that I sometimes get stuck in my cabin with the door locked when they ask for raises and I am done talking to everyone. And reloading before the event or while in the cabin has no effect and I have to restart earlier and hope it doesn't happen again. Has this happened to anyone else? Maybe if that bug was fixed I would care so much about removing it.

    Fix the pinnace so its a small ship again

    Maybe add a ship of the line to compete with the manowar, (I know they are related but I mean a different supership)

    Have godmode apply to your the other ships in your fleet and Colonies. On that note add extra cheats to increase gold given and exp given.

    Add different responses to your captain in the brothel depending on fame (Like barmaids in Meier's Pirates!) but also allow the female captain to use the brothel and add movies to acomodate her.

    The ability to change some slaves to ship servants that would be available in your cabin. (Like the two passengers in God of War). On that note the ability to see what ship the enemy has while capturing it to decide to leave crew of not.

    Governer's daughters. Ability to capture, ransom, woo, take to sea with you, or leave one on each island.

    Change ship formations. I always like the idea of having a luxury sloop be the lead transport to and from my flagship, would carry VIP guests(See governers daughters) but would stay on the defensive in battles. Also the ability to visit your other ships and talk to the captains and passengers.

    Walk the plank as interrorgation/execution technique. Maybe not with new animations, but a new background screen and uses the talk menu. To get info on weak colonies, convince captives to join you, or get rid of excess passengers.

    Wardrobe options for you and servant, slaves, maybe whores.

    Gunblades!


    And these are more Modding Instruction specific requests.

    Instructions on how to get personally created ships available for sale so you can make and buy your own super ships without having to edit the computer's. (Like having the shipwright build you a ship. Simple way by just edit the defaults into new but maybe more advanced to completly add)

    Where to edit the descriptions of of the ships (Yours and the games) and other items.

    How to increase ammo load beyond 4 (limited by stars now I think). Reload in battle.

    I'm willing to help so long I can get pointed in the right direction!

    Is there any way to mod the big yellow/red circle used when you fire your guns from the deck????

    That's <i>really</i> easy. I just downloaded the TX/TGA converter from the FTP, I'll try to make a custom crosshair right away. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

    I don't know about the screenshots, I just used print screen and pasted it into photoshop.

    Just a thought, landing parties! I'd love to see something like the opening of POTC 2 when all the british guys storm the beach. I'd like to see stealth, raiding that fort would be so much more interesting if i could set a bomb on the walls and attack from land instead of sea. Maybe a ship that is fast and manouverable no guns and low cargo space in other words, a boarding ship. And odd as it is, more guns. I just finished reading LT Hornblower and I'd love to sling my sword and pick up a musket or 2 pistols, the ingame muskey is cheap, it's a 5 foot pistol! yeah, thats what i got for now,

    Some naval uniforms would be nice instead of everyone on a ship wearing army/marine uniforms. Especially the ship captains.

    hmmm......THAT, i agree with entirely. add another pirate/ Admiral/ Sailor/ gamer to that list. openable cannon ports, changable outfits, more voices for NPCs, crew visible on deck, tons of other random things on the deck when not in combat mode, and various other things.....everything mentioned above and anything i have said that wasn't covered. i would continue, but it's 2 AM over here. i'll talk more tommorow....lol

    I was just cruising through the game last night, and I thought that it could be cool if while you were turning, the uhh... wheel.... turned too. so I guess an animated ... err... steering wheel for lack of a better term. I dunno, it just came up, if anyone likes the idea and knows how to apply it - go for it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

    Actually the trick is the other way around: you have to grow! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

    look into program\sea_ai\aicameras.c

    change "SeaDeckCamera.h_max" and "SeaDeckCamera.h_min" to some higher values. Maybe 3.2 and 1.7, as Meximaster suggested here: <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=8397&st=343" target="_blank">http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/index.php...8397&st=343</a>

    And btw, these wheels are quite impressive on bigger ships...

    i would like at least 1 long treasure hunt quest. maybe the prize is 1mln or 2mln?
    and it would be great if mods from POTC can be taken over here to add into AOP game.
