Released Neptunus Privateer

Done some texturing and modeled some deck details and remodeled the cathead supporter, I am re-rigging the shrouds and stays which will take some time and also need to add decoration to the stern in the Dutch style of the period.

The Swedish Indiaman has had some deck details such as capstan, hatches, riding bitts and steering wheel added as well as some texturing. This ship will also be made into a different ship by removing the cabins near the wheel and pierced to carry more cannons.

Here is the cutter from Architectura Navalis Mercatoria that we are both working on. We could use this as a base to make a few versions of a cutter/lugger by increasing its scale or even adding extra length in the mid section.

Nice work. :onya What a fantastically pretty little ship! Hubsch! I can't wait to play her. :will We are finally getting some good variety of smaller three masted square riggers.

The poly count at the moment is 49,251 (not counting the reference cannons).

There is only a few small cosmetic stuff for me to finish (mainly decoration) and she is complete. As for the Indiaman, not far to go on her but Phil has been working a lot of overtime so it will take longer.

The Neptunus is done and ready for review in PotBS but SOE is down and I cant pass it on for review.

I would like to start on converting her for the build mods but since I have never done conversion work before I will have to learn how to do it first, the ship also requires some textures (maybe I can get a look at the Poseidon's textures). I know I will need Maya 5 but I don't know if thats available for free?

All you would have to do I think is convert her to a GM files such as her hull.GM, masts 1-4 GM, path.GM and spars.GM. I could help you with the cannon, rigging and sail locators along with her textures, walk files/ sailorpoints and data for the init file. Let me know?

All the hatches and gratings have been remodeled, added another capstan between the main and mizzen masts, added a rudder coat, detailing to the catheads and some decorative carvings on the stern. The ship still needs a figurehead which may take a little time to model. :)

Hi, really a nice work...
Can you post some pics of the figurehead while you're doing it, like a sort of step to step?
