Not a Bug No Manual Gun Fire

You used to be able to go into 1st person at sea and manually aim and fire the cannons, even if the target does not register hostile. This doesn't work anymore.

This is important to one of the standard story line when you escort the ship that you intend to ambush. I was only able to complete by moving closs, switching capatains and then removing my new captain. The old captain is now stuck (and unusable) on my passangers list.

You can fire cannons manually, but it's a different key. By default it's 'v' but you can change it from the "Options" menu.

If you ambush the Oiseau while you're still in sight of Martinique, it's friendly, and if you attack it then you can expect a loss of reputation. If you go to worldmap, move far enough away to be in open sea and then return to sailing mode, the Oiseau will be hostile and you can attack it with auto-aiming and without loss of reputation.
