PA! The Story

Captain_Python

Rogue Scholar
I had an idea, why don't we make up our own story on PA! We would put it back in the golden age a piracy, and we would all be characters. It would sort of be how the pirates and sailors (members of PA!) arrived at the town know as Pirates Ahoy (Our site). That would be a cool story. Are you catching on? What do you say? I know Diomed, Billy Bones, and a few others like to write poetic pirate stories, due to they worked with me on my story. Who's going to help?

sounds cool, i'd help but too much english work from english class to be doing anything else that has to do with stories english and that stuff. and dont let my insane ness decive you, im accually a pretty good peotic story writer.

Id help but i cannot write for crap, if theres anything else though count me in 8)

Sounds like a plan. We have the tale of the Blind Parrot already ... time to expand the PA! historical empire!

I'll write it, if you want some proof of my writing skills read this story I just started last night:

Absolution of Duty
The First of the Adventures of Doriano Vencetas

Mediterranean Sea, 1803 ‘The azure sea splashed swiftly off the hull of the ship The Myrmidon, as it made its way enterprisingly along the coast of Sicily.’ ……. “No.” Said the composer of this simile, “That is not right.” He paced the deck of The Myrmidon a few more steps before saying “The good ship Myrmidon glided swiftly over the azure waves of Sicily.” This was to the composer’s liking for he nodded with satisfaction. Following this our poet paced slowly to the side of the quarter deck and looked into the “Azure” sea. He contemplated the face staring back at him in the water. The face; nearly `twenty-five` years of age bit its lip in reproach. The face was hansom in the reflection, his nose coming to a point and under it a small mustache protruded ever so slightly above his lip. His `semi-curly` hair was mostly hidden under the broad rimmed hat he wore. He tore himself away from his reflection, thinking it vain to stare at ones self, and saying that he had looked at himself far too long. While thinking this, something else caught his eye, and was immediately called to the task of finding a simile to fit the flapping sails. It was during this that composed looking officer interrupted him:
“Every thing seems to be running smoothly Signor.” Said he with, a look towards our poet. Turning to see the Officer our poet replied:
“Thank you Lieutenant Autino, I can see that.”
Both men spoke in Italian, which was their native tongue. The Ship had 82 guns, and was of the first class of Italian Ships of the Line, elegantly striped with red and blue, and flying the colors of Puglia. The flag flapped defiantly in the breeze, the olive tree in the center of the coat of arms flexing with the wind. The ship in fact made port in Puglia, but and it was in the earlier years that the ship had in fact been made, when Italy was finally united as a whole and unified country. That had changed now; Napoleon Bonaparte’s quest for power had changed everything in Italy. Napoleon had torn apart Italy, and was making eyes towards Sicily, where the Tyrant King Ferdinand ruled. Napoleon, overwhelming southern Italy had driven nearly all inhabitants out, slaughtering most military forces. So they had fled, the Duke of Puglia, seeing no other option, his city in flames and nearly all natives dead, the young Duke had no choice. Taking his ship, the strongest in all of Southern Italy, and his crew he fled. The Duke knowing much of the sea and navigation took command and retreated. So we find them. But why was this upstart Napoleon so cruel? Was he not in fact an Italian, hailing from Corsica? Did he not change his name from the Italian “Bounapartè” to the more French “Bonaparte”? Napoleon resented his upbringing and as a result blamed his countrymen by being more harsh and cruel to them then anyone else. This is what they had to deal with and they all knew Napoleon would not stop until he had all of Italy and Sicily under his control.

Our poet, who was in fact the Duke of Puglia, turned to crew. They were all hard at work, ‘good’, everything was running smoothly, no need to bellow any orders, and the officers had it under control. An eye still always needed to be kept on the Officers as well though; the young man had enough experience at sea to know that.

I kind of like it. :cheeky though it is not even 1/100th of the way done. 8)

Thanks for the short sample of story Diomed.

Anyways, Here is what we are going to need to start the story:

A time
A beginning place
Some Characters

After we figure out those, we can probably start creating a lot more.

IDEA

An Idea. A couple of Ideas for this story

1. I suggest it be about a ship. We all sail on this ship.
2. I suggest Keith be the Capt. As he is the leader already.
3. We can have tales about pillaging and plundering the several seas.
4. We could all have jobs on this ship, Capt., 1st mate, Navigator, Quarter Master, Deckhand, Swashbuckler, Cannoneer, etc.
5. Now I know I might anger some people, but if we had jobs then we could decide who picks 1st by # of posts.
6. Then someone would make a seperate post of the jobs of the sailers. They could just edit that post when the jobs changed.

What do you all think of that???

TIME= 1630 same year as POTC
PLACE= around the coasts of Brazil, Panama, and around the Gulf
Characters= A person from each nation: An English/Irish Captain, A Spanish Don, A French Captain, A Dutch buccaneer, A Portuguese Governor, An Italian Adventurer.

Naturally it would not be anything hokey like "they were all friends" or some crap like that, it could be a stroy intertwined with all of them, none of them would know each other, and some would have more important parts then others, let me know what you think and throw a few ideas around and I will write it for yas. :cheers

look I am sorry but if we write ourselves into the story it will be BEYOND HOKEY

No matter what it is, if you write yourself into your story it will sound like a child has written it, I have read many sases before, and they are all crappy. Trust me, writing is one of the few thing I can credit myself with doing well. So one thing about writing is that if people are going to write a story there minds have to work in the same way, otherwise you'll get two people's in the same stiry and it will not be pretty.

I didn't think about that Diomed. But now that I have, you make perfect sense.

True, i would agree. Cause i have tried to write my self into a sory and I failed on the paper. I think i was writing about how i was a pirate and some other junk :cheers

I have an idea, why don't we make the PA! Story related to the Blind Parrot Story, Posted Below:

By Bill_Bones

Part 1

It was in the early times of the Archipelago, when the Spaniards just had come to the islands, when the ground still was fertile and water ran along the rivers like blood in the veins, when the firts pirate arrived to an unnamed island. Looking at him, we could had understood what happened: as his ship was only a floating crate of broken wood and thetered fabric; and the crew was just a pale shadow of human beings, broken to death by the effort of pumping water out of the wreck. In a last effort, the sloop kissed the beach's sand as a death kiss, and the men shouted with anger when one of the masts fell and killed one of them.

- Catch it fire! Catch it fire! To hell with that cursed ship!

But the captain had other plans, and by the force of arms he ordered the emn to salvage as much as posible of the wreck, before the waves could take it away and sink it too deep. And the men painfuly took n more and more crates andbarrels and tools and all kind of things, specially food, but useless food, as the salt water that filled the hold had soaked the barrels and its content. Then the sun fell down and the men layed on the sand, ignoring the small beasts that poured from the still hot sand and began to claim their reign...

Only hunger could make the men to wake the next day, and soon they began to explore their new home. They found some tropical fruit trees, but there wasn't enough fruit, and, they where european, what they knew about when a bright color means "eat me" and when "eat me and die"?

They explored the island for hunt, but, the island was virgin, nobody had ever taken pigs nor goats to the island to fill it with food... so they chased the small birds, a poor thing, as their muskets would annihilate the beasts and they weren't skilled enough as to chase them... so at the end of the second day the pirates where hungry.

Six days more passed by and the hunger was driving the men crazy; they had fresh water from a creek, but there wasn't any food, nowhere.... they eated all the fruits, and then all the small beasts that couldn't flee, and being violent men as they where soon some of the pirates met a violent ending. The captain knew that canibalism was on the edge of being real, and in a desperate effort he took the men up to a hill, the last and only place they hadn't explored. The men gruntled and moaned and sweated but they hadn't more chances. Up to the hill's top, under the trees, under the wild plants, under the wet air and the constant heat now that the wind was dead, the men broke the last of their sinner souls in the effort.

The hill's top was as silent as no other part of the island was. A few trees where scattered ehre and there. And then the men noticed womething unusual... something like a little forest, impossible to see from below... and as they get close, they found that the trees where in the number of 12, and planted in a circle... and, inside the circle, a small hut of palms... and when they get close to the hut, suddenly they heard a horrible noise, and the sound of a legion of demons started inside the hut; the men began to turn around and walk away, willing to run, when the cpatain shouted:

- Enough! Don't care if are the hell's gates, here is my steel and here my pistol, and if now I'm to die, this will be! No more hunger!

And the captain ran to the hut, entered it, and began to laugh... the men followed him... and then they saw a weird sight. As inside the hut was only a cage, and inside the cage, a green and silver and yellow parrot.

The cage was made of delicate wood, and was obviously some kind of luxury article... but the content wasn't, as the parrot was, not only ugly and old, but had two wet messes instead of eyes... from time to time the parrot opened an eye and it was pale and dead, covered by the dirt of tears.

- What ugly brute! Let's broke its neck and roast it!
- You never do that! -shouted the captain-. Look! There's food and water inside the cage... so somebody feeds the beast! We only have to wait and see...

And as if some sort of magic had been said, the men heard many voices singing, singing up to the hill's top, and getting close... and soon they saw a tribe of indians, cute people with tanned skins and big smiles and bright dark eyes, but armed with bows, nonetheless. Some of the pirates began to check their muskets' load, but the captain ordered to not to do anything aggressive... as they where hungry, the indians where many, and there was only one way to go down...

Part 2

If the indians where surprised to see the white men, they hide it perfectly, as they still where happy and began to close to the pirates. Ahead of them was an ancient indian and its slow steps set the apce for the tribe, until they reached the tree's circle. Then the ancient entered the circle and was followed by a group of women and children. The men gruntled as they had expected some other thing, but the indian women were dressed with something like giant handkerchiefs made of what looked like a fine fabric. Also the ancient indian was dressed with the same, in a lower position leaving hsi torso naked. A series of scars crossed it and was clearly visible some kind of amulet made with bright colored feathers. The pirate captain get close to the group, and was about to talk when the indian made a wide movement with his arms and pointed him with his hands, then he moved thehands to the ground... "Stay there" was the message.

Soon the pirates learned that the indians hadn't nay comunication trouble, as the ancient and his escort where using mimics to talk. From time to time they made sounds with their mouths, maybe words, maybe not, but anyway a story began to developed while the captain looked at them.

Sometime, probably far ago, another white man came to the islands. The cpatain listened the same sounds many times until he got that the man was named Pablo Loco. Pablo Loco helped the indians by telling them who where the pale and red skinned strangers coming to their lands; and the indians understood that there where many of the strangers, and decided to hide until they grow bored of the islands, as Pablo said that the strangers were greedy, and there wasn't richess in the Archipelago. But the strangers where to take food and men and woods and tools, and Pablo was growing desperated. Then he made a discovery; Pablo found a young parrot, born blind, and the felt some power in the parrot. Actually, the blind aorrot was some kind of prophet. The parrot could give the shaman clues and tips, and when the parrot claimed that Pablo was to die but his son was to be born, the parrot's power became visible, as Pablo died and his son was born. The indians named the son Pablo, and tried to give him all the knowledge from his father. Also they gave him the parrot, and Pablo kept it for many time. Until one day, when the parrot said that Pablo was to be captured by the strangers, and then the tribe took the parrot to the hill, hide it, and waited for news...

And many years later the shaman viewed a group of evil white men who where to grow desperate and hungry, and where to take the blind parrot to the white men so the parrot could give them wisedom. Now the indian where to escort the pirates to their canoes and take them to a place where they could capture a ship, with the parrot, of course.

The men wher angry as the indans weren't to feed them, but the captain understood that the indians knew the evil nature of them and probably had something ready in case they where fool enough to agrede the tribe. So the pirates mounted in the indian canoes, two men on each, and the indians took them to a nearby island... where a Spanish carabel was anchored. The indians left the pirates ashore, and now there was only one chance; the night shaked with blood and violence as the hungry pirates took their prize, and then sailed away with its new ship as there was some strange story of a giant lizard eating one of the spaniards; and with that carabel the pirates made a lot fo damage to the first settlers, until they had to run away... eventually the captain grow tired and sold the ship to his first mate, and took the parrot with him...

- C'mon! Do you really mean that THIS parrot is the parrot?
- Yah, you scurvy son of a mussel. And actually the blind parrot IS a prophet.

The Blind Parrot began to shout:

- Prrr! Prrr! Pablo Loco! Pablo Loco! Lorito bonito! Lorito bonito!
- Ha! What a prophecy!
- To me, it means that you're going to have another hole in the belly! If you don't like the Blind Parrot's tale, then go tell it yourself! But it's true, and Bill Bones himself told it to me!
- And, who was the captain? -asked another voice.
- That would be ANOTHER history...>>

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Possibly this can help us create a PA! Story.

I have been working on my own story. It might not be related to the Blind Parrot that much, but I think you will like it.

The Tale of Pirates Ahoy!
By: Captain_Python

The year was 1630, and the world was filled with every type of ship from every type of country. But a lot of these ships were merchants, and throughout all history, were there are vulnerable rich people there are people ready to rob them. By this time, pirates were very populous, and were starting to organize. Many small places were these pirates and lawless people appeared. Two big places were created, the Sinner’s Den and the Sailor’s Refuge. Both these lawless ports had many fierce characters among them. The Sinner’s Den mostly had pirates that concentrated on the Archipelago. The Sailor’s Refuge was a little tamer, and sailors and pirates here were more gentlemen like in conduct and raided all parts of the Caribbean.
At one point, the Sinner’s Den got so big; it became two parts, Old Sinner’s Den and New Sinner’s Den. But the greedy countries of Europe did not want them there. So since Spain had the biggest problem with them, they sent a fleet of ships. This fleet included a Battleship, 2 Ships of the Line, 2 Frigates, 2 Corvettes, and 2,000 troops. New Sinner’s Den was attacked, and taken completely by surprise. Some put up a fight, a few were killed, a few ran and were never seen again, but most took what they could grab and ran out with their ships to Old Sinner’s Den. It took a couple of weeks for the news to get out to all who use to go to New Sinner’s Den and was out at sea. Some had to find out the hard way, and sail into the harbor and see the cursed Spanish in the town, creating a colony.
Most of the Pirates returned to Old Sinner’s Den, others moved to Sailor’s Refuge. After some remarks from the leading pirates that they would by themselves take back New Sinner’s Den, but never did. The Spanish called the new colony, Prentaños’s Cove, after Captain Prentaños who led the main force into the town, and created most of the new town. After the creation of a 50 cannon fort was created, most pirates went back to their old games.
But with no N.S.D. (New Sinner’s Den), the overload on the O.S.D. (Old Sinner’s Den) was humungous! The tavern they use to have in N.S.D was the best according to some pirates, and was more anarchic than the one on O.S.D. Eventually people started to stay away at sea more, or to even turn back to civilian life in one of the civilized countries.
So in 1630, O.S.D. and the other little towns were becoming plain, boring, predictable, and `non-exciting`. The grog at these places became plain, the wenches old and in small numbers, their taverns small and broken. So one man decided that it was time to start a new settlement. His name was George. It was just George. George told nobody his true last name. George had a title, “The Wiseman of Piracy.” George knew many tricks to piracy and how to stay out of the European power’s pursuing Frigates and other warships. So he started to get ready to find a new island.
George had two ships, a Brig and a Sloop. The Brig’s name was the “Swift Eagle.” The brig had `14-pounder` culverins, 8 to each broadside, and `9-pounders`, 2 stern chasers and 2 bow chasers a total of 20 cannon, with a crew of 175. The Sloop was named the “Demon.” The Sloop had `12-pounder` culverins, 5 to each broadside, and `9-pounders`, 2 stern chasers and 2 bow chasers, a total of 14 cannon, and had a crew of 90.
George took his ships, raided a few more small merchants to gain some money, and came back to O.S.D. to repair and supply his ships. So he finally set sail. He sailed through the Archipelago. The settled part of the Archipelago was too crowded by the English, French, Spanish, and Dutch. The pirate settlements around this area were very reduced in power and population. So he sailed on, and found a small chain of islands on the Archipelago that had not been settled on due to that it was just too far out of support distance for any country. The biggest island in the middle of the chain of eight islands would soon be the home to a new pirate settlement.
George landed on this island and explored the island. There was a cove that no ship over a frigate could go into. The island had a couple good natural springs, and plenty of trees. There was one particular clearing that was perfect to start a settlement right next to the beach of the cove. He decided to start building, starting with a dock, a few open buildings, and a nice house for himself to live in. Many prisoners taken from the last raid were used to build the new town. The open buildings were to be the taverns, stores, and shipyards in town. Word was sent out that there was a new town to populate. People started to move to this new village and rent out the building to create taverns, stores, and shipyards. It took a while, but the town started to really grow.
After about 2 years, the town was thriving. Over the next 3 years, the town went over a couple of expansions in size to try to make the town better for the size of population. But trouble was coming. A group of really bad pirates and robbers came to town. They were called “Spiders”; due to they spun webs of bills and lies. They made high tabs, and spread many rumors about how the town was going to fail due to that England was going to invade. At their high, they numbered around 200. So George gathered a group of over 300 armed men and forced these “Spiders” into the streets. A huge fight ensued. Half of these “Spiders” were killed, wounded or captured, and the rest ran into the jungles and to their ships and boats. George’s force suffered about 20 or 30 dead and wounded. After this event, “Spiders” were rarely ever seen again.
The next challenge came about, European countries. The first to try was the French. They thought that the town would be easy to take over by sea, by blockading it with a Frigate, 2 Brigs, and 2 Sloops. A pirate sloop tried to break through the blockade at night, and almost made it, but the Frigate’s broadside dismasted it and they had to surrender. The morning after that, George’s Brig “Swift Eagle” and Sloop “Demon” arrived back from raids on merchants. He hid his ships on the other side of the island, and waited for other ships to come. The ship called the “Sea Devil” arrived. The “Sea Devil” was a slave ship made into a good pirate ship. It had 36 cannon, and a crew of 225. In the middle of the night, they sailed around to the blockading fleet and all three ships fired into the Frigate, and tore out the ships decks and masts, making her impossible to operate. They fired a second broadside, sinking her. By that time, the French’s two Brigs and Sloops came into action. A hard battle was fought. The “Sea Devil” and the “Swift Eagle” ganged up on the two Brigs and sunk one of the Brigs. The other Brig ran, and as the two Sloops saw that the “Sea Devil” and “Swift Eagle” coming, they tried to run, but one was sunk, and the other was got away. It was a stunning victory for George.
But then, the hated Spanish invaded. They learned from the French’s mistakes, and took a force of 2,500 troops to destroy the town. But George had spies, and he prepared the town for the attack. First, he delayed the invasion by sinking the couple of ships that were supplying food and ammunition to the troops. He had time then to place cannon on the beach that the Spaniards were landing on. He hid the cannon. He had a total of 14 cannon, loaded with grape shot. He had 800 men supporting the cannon and their crews, a total of about 1,000 men. His second part of the plan was to attack the Spanish ships as they landed troops with his own ships. So he got his two ships, the “Sea Devil” and a Corvette named the “Iron Death” to attack the seven ships landing and escorting the troops. It was the perfect plan.
The day came; the ships started landing troops in the early morning, when the sun was just up. There was one ship in the invasion force they didn’t expect, a Battleship. They attacked the ships, and the Battleship sank the “Sea Devil.” “Demon” quickly picked up the survivors, and the fleet sailed back to the cove. George’s original plan was to drive away the Spanish ships and fire on the troops, but now he had 2,500 troops running up against the 14 cannon and 1,000 men he had on the beach. George told his men on land to open fire, and to keep the troops back as long as they could, and then to fall back fighting.
As George sailed back to the cove, the 14 cannon opened up on the troops, stalling the advance, and killing many. But the troops still advanced, and captured the cannon. The 1,000 men and gunners tried to stall the advance, but were not too successful. George landed all his men on his ships, which totaled over 500 men. But by that time, the Spanish were already fighting around the town, burning the buildings. George led his 500 men, and about 400 remaining men from the beach, and attacked the Spanish. His men grabbed up cutlass, musket, pistol, pike, hand bombs, and even a couple of swivel guns to repel them. They fought until night, and with the light coming from the burning building, drove the troops back to the beach. On the retreat back to the beach, they were ambushed constantly. The Spaniards were loaded back up into the ships, and the Spanish sailed away.
From this battle came the name of this town. When a soldier spotted George and his pirates coming at them, outnumbered and unorganized (unlike the Spanish formations), the Spanish soldier said mockingly, “Pirates Ahoy!” That soldier survived the battle, and on the retreat back to the ships, he said in fear just as some pirates ambushed them, “Pirates Ahoy!” All through the night, as pirates ambushed the retreat, “Pirates Ahoy!” was the call that meant that the pirates were attacking, and soldiers would run to those calls to try and fight their way toward the beach.
George has won a major victory, but at a price. Out of the 1,000 men on the beach, 200 were killed and about as many were wounded on the retreat to the town. Also about 200 men from the beach ran for the woods. But these men were also the ones who ambushed the retreating Spanish. Out of the 500 men from the ships, half of them were dead and wounded. The remaining 400 men who came from the beach who joined in the fight in town, about half of them were dead and wounded. So the total casualties were 850 dead and wounded, out of 1,500 men, over 50% casualties. Also almost half the town was burned. George’s own house was burned.
George then tried to rebuild the town. But George quickly realized that his treasury was not big enough. But help came quickly from donations from other ships that usually dock there. George then had enough money to build, but slaves were a problem. Then an interesting thing happened. A ship captured one of the ships containing the Spanish invading troops. The man who captured the troops said he would be happy to let George use them to rebuild, a little ironic for the men who destroyed the town to rebuild it. George decided to tear down the entire town. He moved it to the right of the original town position, building more dock space, more shipyards, more taverns, more stores, and a mansion for George “The Wiseman of Piracy” with a statue of him in front to honor him in his fight to keep the Spanish out. When the town was completed, they officially named it “Pirates Ahoy!”
The position in which the town was built in now could now only be attacked by sea or by one road through a big pass through a mountain nearby. He built defenses here and on the cove, so now the town would be harder to attack. But there would be one more challenge, from the English.
England was shocked by how powerful these Pirates were, and decided that this was a threat to England’s colonies in the Archipelago. They decided that they would blockade the cove of Pirates Ahoy and attack by land. They would use 2 Ships of the Line, a Frigate, and a couple of sloops and brigs to blockade the cove, and send 2,000 troops down that one road and take the town. Once again, George found out about this early and had a plan. He got the Corvettes “Iron Death” and the “Devil’s Revenge” to help him. He sailed his two ships and the Corvettes hidden at an island nearby. The blockading fleet arrived three days earlier than the invasion fleet. The ships in the harbor knew that they would not get out. When the invasion fleet arrived, and as George had predicted, only one lonely Frigate was guarding the 4 other ships that had barely any defenses.
George attacked a fleet; all the ships attacked the Frigate. The “Swift Eagle” and “Demon” boarded the Frigate that was named the “Justice” and captured her in tact. Then they attacked the other 4 ships, sinking 1 with all the troops in it, running off two ships that had unloaded only some troops, and running off the last ship after it had landed all it’s troops. So there were about 1,300 troops on land now, and they quickly ran out of cannon range down the road toward the defenses.
George had most of the men from all the ships (about 700 total) go in pursued of them. As the English men marched down toward the defense, they met obstacles in the road, and George and his men worked their way closer. The English soldiers finally made it to the defenses. There were 16 cannon loaded with grape waiting for them, and over a 1,000 men behind the defenses. The English soldiers were stopped in front of the defenses, and as George’s men charged in from behind, the men behind the defenses charged, and in a few minutes, about 400 of the soldiers remained, and surrendered.
George had the prisoners escorted away, and the rest of them headed back to the ships. They fixed up the Frigate, and readied it for battle. They took the fleet of now 5 ships and headed toward the blockading fleet. The cannons in the defenses of the cove were dueling with the Frigate and other small ships that made their way into the cove. The other small pirate ships in the cove did what they could do to fight the ships, and at night, the English ships fell back out of range to regroup. That night, George decided that it was time to make a sacrifice. He took everything that was worth saving out of his Sloop “Demon” and set her on fire. The English ships panicked, as the Sloop neared the fleet, one the Ships of the Line ran aground, and caught fire. The other ship of line ran into the Frigate, two Corvettes, and the Brig, and was sunk. The English Frigate and other English ships sailed away in defeat.
The next night there was victory celebration. With a Frigate and the two Corvettes defending the bay now, the defense of Pirates Ahoy was secured. That night, they partied at the Blind Parrot, which was then known as biggest and the best serviced tavern in the town from then on. George lived happily, and richly in his mansion, until he died at the age of 73. George is always remembered as “The Wiseman of Piracy” and “The Founder and Savior of Pirates Ahoy!”

If you guys like this story and want to use it, just say so and maybe we can make some changes if nessesary, and make a new thread and make it a sticky. Could we also possible make the Blind Parrot Tale a sticky too?

Maybe we can all write our own versions and pick out what we like best from all of them then one of us can rewrite the final draft. What ya think. Oh and good story by the way Paython. :cheers

I think that would be a good idea! After `2-5` more story versions are writen, we can create a new thread and vote on it. Then we could create another thread and put the story we voted on it and make that a sticky.
And Diomed, would you make the Blind Parrot Tale a Sticky if I made it a separate thread?

ya no need for it to be a sticky im changin' it back. once you guys get to the voting part then make a new thread and make it an announcement instead of a sticky
