I was trying to do something about unrealistic cannon smoke , found a few files that could be edited (D:\Age of Pirates\RESOURCE\INI) :

emissiontime = 350 (?)

key_windeffect = 1,10000

lifetime = 10000 (How long drifting smoke stays visible?)

I tried editing everything in Particles ini to no apparent effect , anyone has any ideas on how to go about this?
 
Yep sorry bud i also tried that when i first started working modding COAS. I think you'll find that the cannon smoke will require new textures, and thats a part i don't have a clue about.
 
Yeah I think the Build Mod has changed particle affects, dont ask me who managed to do it though sorry :facepalm
